Truely said, Linkedin is going to become 2nd facebook but as an active networker on linkedin I think, it's good because if your one inspirational, motivational thought can help others even having open discussion is good for all. Do you know? Facebook & twitter have intregrated their functioning with linkedin. Why ? because more traffic, discussion, sharings & all that. Every coin has two sides & we usually see only one side at a time but we also can see both sides at a same time by standing that coin.

but linkedin is mostly used by professionals and is meant for professionals. by converting it into facebook like site, it will lose its meaning and purpose

no because we in facebook freekout like anything there was less of proffessiolismbut here in linkedlkin its more of corprate culture but yes in future it will be when a new more improved version like this will come

This trend is never good because linkedin is a professional networking website and facebook is only a social networking site. We should be very professional in linkedin because these days your linkedin presence and activities are also valued when you are considered for a job or business. You should only post profesional topics into it rather than thanking somebody for a personal favour or wishing bithdays etc. Facebook can be used to market your company or its products, also you can be little unprofessional in facebook making use of smileys, posting jokes etc. But ultimately we should well understand that facebook is for social networking and linkedin is only for PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING. but santosh, linkedin becoming more like facebook is not good. why do u need to post personal messages be it inspirational or any such sort in linkedin when u have access to facebook and twitter for d same?

The reason is very simple as each website is created differently with a fresh new concept as well as rules or the limitations for the public. Moreover if all the social networking site performs same kind of stuff then there will be no meaning at all for each individual existence, better would be to create one platform and do whatever you want. There must be no parity between all the networking sites and public must abide by the responsible use of the site and it's rules.

ff late, I have seen many Linkedin users using Linkedin for personal use rather than professional use. I have seen these posts getting liked by other users. if this trend continues, Linkedin will very soon become like facebook and eventually will be in the restricted category of websites in offices. Is this trend good or bad? Your arguments and debates please
