Modi is another Yedurappa Source:ET 2 sep 2011 Unfazed by BJP apporaching the President on Gujarat Lokayukta issue, Congress today intensified its attack on the party and Narendra Modi calling him "another Yeddyurappa" whose government has been charged with a Rs 26,651 crore fraud. "The CAG report has spoken of misappropriation and fraud of Rs 26,651 crore and the people are seeking the details. Hence this attack on constitutional institutions so as to avoid being exposed in front of the country," party leader Mohan Prakash told reporters at a joint press conference along with Leader of Opposition in Gujarat Assembly Shaktisinh Gohil and PCC chief Arjun Modhwadia. They alleged that Modi was presiding over a "corrupt regime" and was apprehensive that an "independent" Lokayukta will expose him. "Modi is another Yeddyurappa, or you can call him Modiappa. It is a desperate Modi and a desperate BJP.. which is a badi jhoothi (big liar) party," Gohil said. Gohil even challenged Modi for a public debate at the place of the Chief Minister's choice on the issue of appointment of Lokayukta insisting that the Governor Kamla Beniwal had acted "as per law" in appointing justice R A Mehta as the lokayukta. The BJP is up in arms against Mehta's appointment as Lokayukta by Beniwal without consulting Modi and his council of ministers with senior party leader L K Advani leading a delegation of party MPs to President Pratibha Patil today and and demanding immediate recall of the Governor. Taking a dig at BJP, Gohil and Modhwadia said if they feel the truth is on their side why they are not fighting a legal battle and resorting to paralysing Parliament. "The fact of the matter is that if there is an independent Lokayukta, then Modi will have to go and he is the biggest fund manager of the BJP", alleged Gohil.

When Netaji succeeded, Gandhi accpted sitamaraiahs defeat as his own.He not at all embrassed on this.He accepted the election and Netaji. When Netaji diverted to congress principle, Netaji himself resigned. Gandhi told to dismantle the congress movement after independence but no body accepted. So our democracy failed and Nehru`s dynasty is ruling. This is nit because of gandhi. He is the man who accepts his defeats and learnt lessons also.Mahatma Gandhiji was talking to the villagers on the upcoming yatra: "If this fails, it will not be a failure of Ahimsa, but my failure of correctly applying Ahimsa. Future leaders following Ahimsa will succeed...."When on September 9th, I returned to Delhi from Calcutta, it was to proceed to the West Punjab. But that was not to be. Gay Delhi looked a city of the dead. As I alighted from the train I observed gloom on every face I saw. Even the Sardar, whom humour and the joy that humour gives never desert, was no exception this time. The cause of it I did not know. He was on the platform to receive me. He lost no time in giving me the sad news of the disturbances that had taken place in the Metropolis of the Union. At once I saw that I had to be in Delhi and do or die. There is a apparent calm brought about by prompt military and police action. But there is storm within the breast. It may burst forth any day. This I count as no fulfillment of the vow to do which alone can keep me from death, the incomparable friend. I yearn for heart friendship between the Hindus, the Sikhs and the Muslims. It subsisted between them the other day. Today it is non-existent. It is a state that no Indian patriot worthy of the name can contemplate with equanimity. Though the Voice within has been beckoning for a long time, I have been shutting my ears to it, lest it may be the voice of Satan otherwise called my weakness. I never like to feel resourceless, a Satyagrahi never should. Fasting is his last resort in the place of the swordhis or others. I have no answer to return to the Muslim friends who see me from day to day as to what they should do. My impotence has been gnawing at me of late. It will go immediately the fast is undertaken. I have been brooding over it for the last three days. The final conclusion has flashed upon me and it makes me happy. No man, if he is pure has anything more precio

“If J&K Assembly had passed a resolution similar to the Tamil Nadu one for Afzal Guru would the reaction have been as muted? I think not,” Abdullah tweeted on the social networking site. Very Good question Omar. Please ask more such questions to these fake Hindutva people.

Mahatma Gandhi were not in fever of division of Hindustan because They are well known with current position. The thoughts about democracy were clean and simple to keep united us but Mr Zinha was dreamed to chair of Pakistan. For more information you should refer Hindu Swaraj written by Gandhi. If our leaders were agreed to GANDHI at that time,India would be super power today.

Bomb blast by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Sourcehttp://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/two-held-for-blast-in-thane-bomb-in-vashi/323787/ The state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Monday made its first major breakthrough in the two cases of crude bombs planted at auditoriums in Navi Mumbai and Thane recently, with the arrest of two men claiming affiliation to an organisation called the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti.
According to the ATS, the two were also involved in a minor explosion at a Panvel cinema hall screening the film Jodhaa Akbar in February this year. The two claim to have planted the explosives on their own and not at the behest of any organisation.
According to the ATS, the duo claim their attacks were planned in retaliation to the screenings of the movie Jodhaa Akbar and the Marathi play Aamhi Panchpute, as they felt these caricaturised Hindu deities and insulted Hindu sentiments. The Hindu Janjagruti Samiti had earlier staged protests against the screening of the movie and the producer of the play.
The arrested accused are Ramesh Hanumant Gadkari (50) and Mangesh Dinkar Nikam (34). They were picked up by the ATS early on Monday from New Panvel and remanded to police custody till June 24.
“They have been arrested in connection with the crude bomb planted at Vishnudas Bhave auditorium in Vashi on May 31, and the bomb that exploded at Gadkari Rangayatan auditorium in Thane on June 4. They have been booked under the Indian Penal Code for attempt to murder, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means, and voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous means, and under the Explosives Substances Act. ... we have evidence that they are also involved in the small explosion that took place in a theatre screening Jodhaa Akbar at Panvel on February 20,” said Joint Commissioner of Police (ATS) Hemant Karkare.
“They have told us that they are full-time members of the Hindu Jangruti Samiti and the Sanatan Sanstha. However, we have not recovered any documents to prove their membership. They claim that they did not act on orders from any organisation. However, we are probing the possible involvement of the organisation. Office bearers have been questioned and more arrests are likely,” said Karkare.
Following the arrests, the Mumbai coordinator of the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Uday Dhuri, insisted that the organization was not involved.
“Gadkari was not instigated to react this way by us. It was on his own that the idea occurred to him because of the portrayal of the Mahabharat in the play, and even when the police came to find him, we helped them,” said Dhuri. He added that though there are people having associations with both, the Sanathan Sanstha is independent of the Hindu Janjagruti Samiti. The duo told the ATS that a combination of ammonium nitrate and gelatin sticks had been planted by them in all three cases. According to the ATS, Nikam was arrested in February 2006 in Ratnagiri, for allegedly throwing country-made bombs at the residence of a man who was believed to be conducting Christian rituals there.
The two accused operated from the Sanatan Sankul Ashram in Devegaon area of Panvel, where the bomb was assembled. Gadkari is a diploma holder in electrical engineering and was the one who prepared the circuit, while Nikam helped with sourcing the explosives, said police.

Wasting away your life for Hindu Terror - a sadhvi's story! sourcehttp://www.financialexpress.com New Delhi: Former ABVP activist and key terror accused Pragya Singh Thakur has told the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad that fellow radical Ramji Kalsangra was responsible for the September 29, 2008, Malegaon bomb blast which he executed using her motorcycle.
She has also told investigators that the casualty figure of seven in that blast would have been higher had it not been for a “faulty bomb timer”.
The Mumbai ATS recorded this statement on October 15, 2008, after Pragya Thakur did not reveal much in her two other statements on October 11 and October 12, 2008.
This statement, a copy of which is with The Indian Express, assumes significance as the Home Ministry proposes that the National Investigation Agency bring under its purview all terror cases involving alleged Hindu extremists, including Malegaon, Samjhauta Express and the murder of ex-RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi.
Pragya Thakur’s statement in Marathi focuses on a 30-minute critical meeting with Ramji Kalsangra — who had been using her Freedom motorcycle after the murder of Sunil Joshi in December 2007 — at the Mahakaal Dharmashala in Ujjain on October 8, 2008. Kalsangra has been missing since the bomb blast.
Thakur said she bought the vehicle (registered number GJ 05 BR 1920) from Surat in 2003 with financial assistance from her “rakhi brother” Sunil Joshi of Dewas. In November 2004, Thakur gave the motorcycle to Joshi for use for Rs 22,000. She said the motorcycle was never sold to Sunil Joshi.
Arriving in Ujjain after taking the night train from Indore, Thakur was received by Kalsangra’s aide Dharmendra. The meeting was fixed at the Mahakaal Dharmashala over a safe mobile phone handed over to Thakur by the Kalsangra aide at the railway station.
During the 30-minute conversation, Thakur says she asked Kalsangra about the motorcycle and asked him to come with her to Surat. The statement quotes Kalsangra saying: “I have used your vehicle for a bomb blast in Malegaon, Maharashtra.” When she asked him why did he do this, Kalsangra replied: “It happened.”
Thakur then said that she would have to go to jail as the vehicle was in her name. Ramji Kalsangra replied that she need not worry as he had changed the number-plate and filed off the vehicle’s engine and chassis number. He told her the police would find no clues.
According to her statement, Kalsangra told her that “two or three people” had died in Malegaon. Ramji said: “There was a mistake in timing of the bomb explosion. I tried to park the vehicle in one or two crowded places but could not do so. After this, I parked the vehicle at one place and left immediately. At that point, there was not much crowd in the vicinity and there was so much explosive packed in the vehicle that the entire rear-end was blown away.”
Thakur met the police inspector in Surat on October 10, 2008, with Kalsangra buying her a ticket to Surat and giving her another Rs 15,000 for expenditure.
In the statement, Thakur is also quoted as having said that she met Lt Colonel Srikant Prasad Purohit on October 5, 2008 in Jabalpur. Purohit told her that he had orchestrated bomb blasts in Orissa, Karnataka and Maharashtra, “killing a large number of people.”
THE SADHVI & THE COLONEL
PRAGYA FELL OUT with Malegaon blast accused Col Shrikant Purohit over “money”, the Sadhvi has told the NIA. She said she met Purohit first in April 2008 at an Abhinav Bharat gathering.
PUROHIT sent text messages to associates saying “Singh has sung the song” after Pragya’s arrest, which, the NIA believes, could indicate that Purohit, Pragya and others were working together.

13 BJP-RSS men found guilty in Kerala bomb attack
Source:http://www.rediff.com/news/2008/nov/14-13-bjp-men-found-guilty-in-bomb-attack.htm
Kerala:All the 13 accused in a bomb attack on a house in 2000, in which three members of a family including a six-year old girl were injured, were found guilty by a local court in Kannur on Friday.
The Thalassery Additional Sessions Court (Fast Track-3) Judge B Ramakanth found the activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party [ Images ] guilty and said the sentence would be delivered on November 17.
The court found them guilty under various IPC sections including IPC 307 (attempt to murder) and Section 3 and 5 of the Explosives Substance Act.
The court dropped charges against the sixth accused K Pradeepan, following his death in a bomb explosion while handling crude bombs at Cheruvanchery last Monday.
The court examined 23 witnesses in the case.
According to the police, the incident occurred during panchayat polls on September 27, 2000, when a group of BJP/RSS workers threw a crude bomb when the girl was playing with her brother in front of her uncle's residence at Cheruvanchery.
The activists had assumed that some Congressmen were hiding in the house, a fall-out of the dispute between the rival Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress over electoral malpractices.
Besides the girl, whose right leg had to be amputated, her brother and mother were also injured. PS: Breaking away from dynastic rule, RSS will name the bomb factory in kerala as Nathuram Godse Institute for Bomb Making

Path for MNC were paved the day "transfer of power was signed Then, why doesn't the BJP kick out all the MNCs from India?
We have Parliamentary System of Government in line with Britain. Then, what do you want? Khap panchayat made of thugs?
Our country is still governed by Indian panel Code of c1860 Doesn't matter - need to update our laws but either way we are not implementing it properly.
Then why is Nehru and Gandhi family is glorified when the have act as successor of United Kingdom ? Nobody is glorifying anybody. What did the sangh parivaar do for Indian independence other than robbery, riots, loot and kill? Instead we should pay homage to our martyrs who held his head high and rose against the mightiest power of the World Good point. But how did these martyrs rise against the mightiest empire? Due to good leaders and good leadership. Has the sangh parivaar got that kind of leaders? No.

To those who blame Pandit Nehru "If we go in for reservation on communal and caste basis, we swamp the bright and able people and remain second-rate or third-rate. I am grieved to learn how far this business of reservations has gone based on communal considerations. It has amazed me to learn that even promotions are based sometimes on communal or caste considerations. This way lies not only folly but disaster. Let us help the backward groups by all means, but never at the cost of efficiency. How are we going to build the public sector or indeed any sector with second-rate people?" This isn't a dialogue from the movie Aarakshan, or a letter written by a Brahmin leader who follows the Sangh Parivar ideology. This is the content of a letter written by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Prime Minister to the chief ministers of the country on June 27, 1961. Nehru was against the concept of caste and communal based reservations. Those who demand a ban on the movie Aarakshan better remember that Nehru was totally against reservations of any kind and warned the chief ministers of dangers resulting out of the crude style of reservation in the country even today. He made his thoughts clear in this letter written immediately after a National Integration Meeting held in the capital city. "This way lies not only folly, but disaster," warned Nehru in the letter. "The recent meeting we held here at which the chief ministers were present, to consider national integration, laid down that help should be given on economic considerations and not on caste. It is time that we are tied up with certain rules and conventions about helping the scheduled castes and tribes. They deserve help but even so I dislike any kind of reservation, more particularly in Services. I react strongly against anything which leads to inefficiency and second-rate standards. I want my country to be a first class country in everything. The moment we encourage the second-rate we are lost," wrote Nehru in this letter. Nehru told the chief ministers 'the only real way' to help backward groups is to give opportunities of good education. "This includes technical education which is becoming more and more important. Everything else is provision of some kind of crutches which do not add to the strength or health of the body," he said. Though the then Prime Minister opposed all kinds of reservations, he reminded the chief ministers about the importance of universal free elementary education and scholarships on a wide scale for every grade of education. "Lay stress on the bright and able boys and girls because it is only they who will raise our standards," Nehru said in the letter.

MAHATMA GANDHI WAS THE MOST DEMOCRATIC 1. Mahatma Gandhi is not the Sole Authority of India, he was a very Undemocratic Person, In 1939, when Netaji Subash Chandra Bose won the Congress Presidential Candidature, this Undemocratic Mahatma opposed him & Installed Pattabhi Sitaramayya This happened because Gandhiji found Bose to be young and bit violent. Bose wanted to use violence to drive the British out which is against the principles of non violent struggle by Gandhi and company. 2. For the Prime Ministership of India, Sardar Ballavbhai Patel got 14 out of 15 votes & Jawarlal got just 1 Vote, still this Undemocratic Gandhi opposed Patel & installed Jawarlal Nehru, No. At that time Gandhiji wanted somebody who had good connections internationally because India was just a new country - you need plenty of aid from different countries plus the baggage of partition. Gandhiji found Nehru to be an "exact fit" for what he was looking for. 3. On one hand, Mahatma Gandhi was talking about SWADESHI and on the other hand Nehru was flirting with Lady Mountbatten & Rajiv MARRIED Italian Lady Sonia (Antonio Maino), Fir be Mera Desh Mahan....... Then kick all MNCs out. Why should your son work for an MNC. Be a patriot and give up that job in an MNC. Will you? Anna Hazare is Flirting with the RSS, instead of fighting against Corruption

Victims of Islamic bigotry June 22, 2011 12:00:00 AM The beheading of Sikhs in Pakistan and the assault on a temple at Sonargaon in Bangladesh point towards the plight of non-Muslims in Muslim majority countries. The situation is clearly intolerable and India must exercise its moral authority to come to the aid of innocent victims Even as political parties that nurture minority (read Muslim) vote-banks prepare to grant further privileges to the community under the guise of alleviating social and economic backwardness, and lakhs of illegal Bangladeshi Muslim immigrants procure property and voting rights, one just needs to look across India’s western and eastern flanks to ascertain how Sikh and Hindu minorities in Muslim majority nations are being persecuted. In the latest of a series of communal assaults on them, two Sikhs were beheaded by the Pakistani Taliban for their reported failure to convert to Islam. A grief-stricken Taranjit Singh, cousin of Jaspal Singh, one of the decapitated men, praised Jaspal for choosing martyrdom over the ignominy of forced conversion. The other reason cited for the decapitation is the deadline having passed for payment of ransom of Rs 3 crore to the abductors. Two other Sikhs are still in the Taliban’s captivity. In Bangladesh, on February 6, a gang of men, 30-35 in number, vandalised the Sonargaon temple, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage in Narayanganj district, and damaged six idols. The supposedly secular Indian intelligentsia and media, which suffered an apoplectic fit as a result of the Babri Masjid demolition, largely ignored the assault. Neither did Right-wing groups, posing as custodians of Hindu interests, bother to raise the issue. Yet, to dreg up the past, the Muslim backlash to the Babri Masjid demolition on December 6, 1992 was marked by the ancient Dhakeshwari shaktipeeth in Dhaka being vandalised and Hindus being butchered; and over a hundred shrines, including those of Jains and Sikhs, being damaged in Pakistan, and a Jain temple being razed. In Britain, a temple was razed by a vengeful mob, and gurudwaras and Hindu shrines attacked. Muslim expatriates from the subcontinent attacked the Indian Embassy at Teheran, and rose in protest in Arab countries though Arabs themselves observed restraint. The assault on the Sonargaon shrine as well as the beheading simply draws attention to the plight of non-Muslims in regions, where Islamic bigotry has reared up in a ferocious avatar. Under the previous Bangladesh Government, reports of snatching of land, owned by Hindus, were common; and majority of rape cases were registered by Hindu women. Such persecution forced many Hindus to flee their homes and seek refuge here. In Afghanistan and Pakistan, where the Taliban’s writ runs, besides Sikhs and Hindus, minority Christians too are on the run from marauders, criminals and fanatics, posing as the true flag-bearers of Islam. They are being forced to pay jizya, protection money or survival tax, in order to ensure their safety, to extortionists. In Iraq, too, according to reports, Christian families are being coerced by gun-toting men to pay jizya or leave. “Summon the people to god; those who respond to your call, accept it from them, but those who refuse must pay the poll tax out of humiliation and lowliness. If they refuse this, it is the sword without leniency. Fear god with regard to what you have been entrusted.” (Al Tabari, Volume XII) Umar ibn al-Khattab during the conquest of al-Basrah (636 CE) Religious bigotry is thus also a convenient pretext for extortion and grabbing minorities’ property, and making them abandon their homes.

Preferential sanctions for Muslim Students in education sector
The government has introduced a new scholarship for minority religious students at Rs.10,000 per year, limited to two students per family, having an annual income of less than Rs 100,000. A special scholarship has been launched, exclusively, for Muslim girls, who will receive a grant of Rs. 3000 at degree level, Rs. 4000 at post graduate level and Rs. 5000/ for professional courses. Muslim girls will also receive stipend while preparing for competitive exams. To qualify for higher studies like MBBS, PG courses and Research, a new religion-based concession has been introduced for minority students, who would require to score only 50% marks -- even lower than 60% required by lower caste students. Furthermore, the minority religious students at degree, postgraduate, M. Phil., and Ph.D. levels will receive generous scholarship. This is an extremely iniquitous and prejudicial policy, grossly unfair to Hindu students. There is further discrimination against Hindu students. Hindu students have to pay much higher interest, 12-14% per annum, for educational loans, but minority students get loans at 3% interest from the National Minority Development and Finance Corporation under the Union Ministry of Finance. In commercial ventures for self-employment, a Hindu youth is entitled to get loans from commercial banks at 15-18% interest; and they have to produce 'margin money' of 15-40% for the project cost from their own pockets; the rest comes from the bank. But minority youths have to put in only 5% as 'margin money' from their pockets; the other 35% is provided by the National Minority Development and Finance Corporation at only 3% interest. In a fair secular-democratic system, any government assistance and grants can only be disbursed solely based on economic status and merits. But poor Hindus are completely excluded from such government-sanctioned grants. So says an analyst: The preferential treatment to minority religionists - Muslims and Christians - while ignoring the poor Hindu students with similar economic status violates Article 15(1) which clearly stipulates that "The state shall not discriminate any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them". The Govt. cannot and must not be allowed to enforce the constitution selectively for benefiting its prospective voters. He adds: Recognition of the Madrassa certificates on par with the CBSE and the SSLC by the Sonia-Singh regime and calling it 'inclusive development' is against national interest as it encourages a "two-society mindset": Madrassas fundamentally negate the secular philosophy and inflict a devastating body blow to the principles of Secularism. These radical Islamic institutions are globally recognized as the nucleus-initiating stage for furthering a skewed mindset into jihadi terrorism. Conclusion In India, the policy of Muslim appeasement is a two-pronged instrument --- one is operated by the Delhi-based Central Government, the other by local governments in respective states. This unlawful and undemocratic privileges are elevating Muslims into first-grade citizens in the name of minorities, while the majority Hindus are turned into second-grade citizens. These developments are turning India into a de facto Islamic State, where Muslims, despite being the minority, enjoy elevated status and privileges, generally offered under typical Islamic governance.

Congress’s dangerous communal game: Will it cause a Hindu backlash? | The recent ‘Mood of the Nation’ poll by this website has revealed that the Congress party is perceived to be utterly corrupt by all sections of the electorate, the lone exception being that of Muslims. (Read the Poll here) http://bit.ly/lKwpdf The questions naturally arise: why is the Muslim community out of sync with the nationwide trend, and is not the community equally affected by mis-governance and galloping corruption under the Congress-led UPA government? The Muslim community is well aware that this government has done precious little for their welfare. But now the Congress is seeking to appease them, by on the one hand targeting symbols of the Hindu community, and on the other by courting extreme elements among them and making shocking comments that appeal to their baser sentiments. And, it seems that Muslims have lapped up every cynical action of the Congress government at the Centre. The latest example is the merciless beating up of Baba Ramdev’s supporters in Delhi. The Manmohan Singh government has also been punitively targeting Hindu organizations and the Narendra Modi regime in Gujarat mainly to appease Muslims. All these provocative actions are part of a well orchestrated strategy drawn up by Rahul Gandhi and his political advisers to consolidate the Muslim vote in Congress party’s favour in order to achieve a near majority for his party in the 2014 parliamentary polls. The strategy of wooing Muslims seems to be working as the Congress party’s appeal and support among Muslims has risen substantially in the past three years. It is another matter that the Congress party’s image among the general public has taken a big knock nationwide due to the series of scams that it is embroiled in. As a part of this strategy, the Congress party has let loose Digvijaya Singh to mount a verbal offensive against everything that the Muslims hate. As Rahul Gandhi’s stalking horse and chosen man to lead this mission, Digvijaya commiserates with the families of alleged terrorists in Azamgarh, abuses the Sangh parivar, refers to Bin laden as “Osamaji” and calls Baba Ramdev a thug and worse. |

Did we signed "Declaration of Independence" ? What signed was "transfer of power" and to whom "power is transferred ? Surely, to successor.Nobody else but Nehru was successor of British. Path for MNC were paved the day "transfer of power was signed. We have Parliamentary System of Government in line with Britain. Our country is still governed by Indian panel Code of c1860. Is there any proof that held us independent ? Then why is Nehru and Gandhi family is glorified when the have act as successor of United Kingdom ? Instead we should pay homage to our martyrs who held his head high and rose against the mightiest power of the World.and Not those people who followed the policy of mandicacy ?

A few months before the partition, when Hindu and Sikh refugees started to come from West Punjab in droves and crowding the refugee camps of Delhi, one day Gandhi visited a refugee camp and said, “Hindus should never be angry against the Muslims even if the latter might make up their minds to undo their (Hindus’) existence. If they put all of us to the sword, we should court death bravely. … We are destined to be born and die, then why need we feel gloomy over it?” (speech delivered on April 6, 1947). In a similar occasion he said, “The few gentlemen from Rawalpindi who called upon me, asked me, “What about those who still remain in Pakistan?” I asked, why they all came here (Delhi)? Why they did not die there? I still hold on to the belief that we should stick to the place where we happen to live, even if we are cruelly treated, and even killed. Let us die if the people kill us, but we should die bravely with the name of God on our tongue.” He also said, “Even if our men are killed, why should we feel angry with anybody? You should realize that even if they are killed, they have had a good and proper end” (speech delivered on November 23, 1947)

It may appear to many that, up to partition, Gandhi’s policy of nonviolence and Muslim appeasement in the name of secularism indeed harmed the country a lot. But a close look will reveal, it has done severe damage even after partition, or to speak the truth, it is causing serious damage even today. During independence, the Muslim population in undivided India was 23 per cent and this 23 per cent Muslims, got 32 per cent land area as Pakistan. The most appropriate step after partition was to carry out population exchange, or send the entire Muslim population of the divided India to Pakistan and bring all Hindus and other non-Muslims from Pakistan to India. This population transfer was included in the proposal for Pakistan by the Muslim League and after communal riot in Bihar, M A Jinnah requested the Government of India to carry out the said population exchange as early as possible. But Gandhi was hell bent not to undertake the process and said that it was an impractical and fictitious proposal. Mount Batten, the then Governor General of India, was a staunch supporter of the said population exchange and advised Jawaharlal Nehru to do the same without delay. But Nehru submitted to the will of Gandhi and refrained from doing so. It is needless to say that, from the practical point of view, the said population exchange was urgently necessary and had it been carried out at that time, many problems of today would not have arisen. But due to the policy of Muslim appeasement of Gandhi, Muslims happily stayed back in this country, while Hindus had no alternative but to come to India as refugees or penniless beggars.

Mr. khaitan u r absolutely correct ,Congress has made a larger than life image of Gandhiji , he was a politician , like all other politicians he made many partial decisions , he supported "khilafat moment " he was always pro muslim , On 23rd December 1926, a Muslim assassin called Abdul Rashid stabbed Swami Shraddhananda to death, when the Swami was ill and lying on his bed. After a few days of this incident, Gandhi went to Gauhati to deliver his speech at the national conference of Indian National Congress. The atmosphere was depressed and gloomy due to unusual death of Shraddhananda. But Gandhi made everyone dumbfounded and began his speech by addressing the assassin Abdul Rashid as “Bhai Abdul Rashid”. Without caring for the reaction of the listeners, he continued, “Now you will perhaps understand why I have called Abdul Rashid a brother, and I repeat it. I do not even regard him as guilty of Swami’s murder. Guilty indeed are those who excited feeling of hatred against one another.” Thus he indirectly held Swami Shraddhananda responsible for his murder, as he was propagating hatred through his Suddhi Yajna. It should be pointed out here that the said policy of Muslim appeasement originated by Gandhi, under the garb of (pseudo) secularism was responsible for the Partition of the country in 1947. Many of our countrymen, still today, firmly believe that Gandhi was against partition as in the public meetings, he used to say, “Vivisect me, before you vivisect India”. When he was saying this in public meetings, he was expressing just the opposite view through his writings.on March 26, 1940, the leaders of the Muslim League raised the issue of creation of Pakistan as a separate homeland for them. Hardly a couple of weeks later, supporting demand, Gandhi wrote, “Like other groups of people in this country, Muslims also have the right of self determination. We are living here as a joint family and hence any member has the right to get separated.” (Harijan, April 6, 1940). A couple of years later, he also wrote, “If majority of the Muslims of this country maintain that they are a different nation and there is nothing common with the Hindus and other communities, there is no force on the earth that can alter their view. And if on that basis, they demand partition that must be carried out. If Hindus dislike it, they may oppose it”, (Harijan, April 18, 1942).
