Whats wrong in it? That was the sportsman spirit and a fair game.

Well! Forget the technicality of the matter for the game of cricket gains its prestige because it is a 'Gentleman's Game'. We are proud today to have played the test in the spirit of the game. Though I wish Dhoni & co, had reversed the appeal before the batsman left the field. Now the recalling of the batsman after he has walked beyond the boundary after being given out has set a dangerous precedent.

Dear Himanshu, Did not at any time your own decisions go wrong? Did not you take chance with wrong decision at any time during your life? Did you know beforehand that your decision would go wrong? In fact media has ever played with the emotions of the people and they start making sensational stories out of nothing just for the sake of their own livelihood. Even on this very issue, the media has been harping the same tune for the last three days on the same stale story for want of any fresh news with them. BUT, WHAT FAR? Even on winning the matches, every time media tried to criticise one or the other player on one or the other count. If media people are so perfect in their decisions, why they don't go to the field to play the match instead of fabricating such nasty stories?

I am not a fan of cricket and don't follow that game at all...... BUT based on what I read ,,...here is my view. right now India is kind of super power in cricket because we are at the top of icc rankings, our board bcci is the richest, president of icc is an indian, we have the biggest cash cow called IPL etc etc. So, we are the kings (right now) of cricket. Such a leader(india) should set an example for other cricketing nations and not try to win all the time, at any cost. We should not snatch victory, instead we should accommodate the less fortunate ones by trying to be a gentleman. Hence I think Dhoni's decision is great.

hello Himanshu,if cricket rules says that a batsman can be given out in such a situation and Bell was in that context there was no need to call him back.instead it only shows the gesture of Indian captain to pardon Bell for his silly mistake though not purposely done.

I think Dhoni succumbed to the pressure of reports that Indian team is very aggressive, especially after Darryl Hair's press statements. Indians had mellowed down thereafter and the results are there in front of you. Dhoni should have struck to the appeal and should not have recalled Bell. If it failed to ring a bell that rules are to be followed, then that should have been done so all the way through. Otherwise how can you explain the appeal in the first place? So MSD is wrong and paid the price in losing the match.

I think the decision to call back may that be of sachin tendulkar. Dhoni knew very well that they will not be able to win hence at least there is some thing by which the captain will be remembered. It is very unfortunate to see that our players lack commitment. They are professionals and a huge sum of money during last three IPL hence if they are on the team it is good if they are not they have lot many thing to attend to.
