What's the point in making it mandatory for children of government teachers to be admitted to government schools? By that logic, children of military services people should be compulsorily admitted to military schools. People put their children in schools which they think will be good for them and which they can afford. The solution is to improve the quality of government schools rather than penalize the government employees and their children.

By that way we can make Govt. teachers more sincere towards their most respectable & more responsible job. Only then we can improve the base of Indian society because only poor family children are going in govt. schools. On the other hand govt. teachers work in govt. schools for their salary only. Thats why they don't care about the future of India. And they send their children in Private Schools & Private schools are in more demand. Thats why private schools increase their fee every year. So the Indian Govt must look into the matter very sincerely. My dear too step friends must rejoice this matter & make it most debatable matter in the history of India.

Actually it is a good idea to make it mandatory. Military schools are giving quality education. If there are enough military schools yes why not make t mandatory.

Individually every teacher working in govt sector will see to it that they also give good quality education since even their own children are studying in that schools. 

These should also be applicable to all politicians including legislators and parliamentarians. Their children should be admitted in only government educational institutes, even for higher education purposes.

The discussion topic is confusing. Still I agree that Govt schools have to be protected and there should be free education for the mass of poor. Because only education can change the NAtion. So depriving education means you negate the changes. Therefore THINK Why the people leave govt schools and go to private schools. The curriculum is the problem. So change the curriculum and make one for all. LET parent with the child detremine which schools to choose? So the problem of non-enrolling will be solved by this method.

Vijay interesting debate, but ur sides are confusing, it will be great if you can make it clear.  I don't think that will be a solution and there is no law that states they should join their children in government schools. Instead the rules and regulation can be changed as that of the private. Like loss of pay, promotion depending on the performance and valuating the performance of the teacher every quarter. This will increase their responsibility......
