Mall retail industry will convert in profit making Business in India

Many malls have spurted across the country. THey have an advantage of providing a slew of options under one roof & in a convienient environment. But presently many of them are running empty with falling footfalls & even low footfall conversion ration. The rentals are highly inflated & at such levels it is not viable for them to operate. To ensure rotation of merchandise huge discounts are offered which in turn hurt the margins. Also it is not difficult to see that it is the food joints that have been able to capitalise the best from the Mall culture. Though the scope of mall culture is immense in India but there are certain things that need to put right before it gets in impetus.
