Animals are defenceless against greed and ruthless power. Instead of protecting them and their environment, we exploit, kill, experiment, and are very insensitive towards our ecological responsibilities.

Man is a rational animal. Development of man is based on his quest for something new, otherwise he would have continued lived in caves and there would not have so much scientific improvements and you and i would not be discussing about any subject on social sites like these. So man is best creation of the lord/brahma/jehova/allah or whatever you prefer to call the almighty.

Man is the only animal that can change his environment. And this is being done at such a rapid rate , and at such a great cost , not only to himself , but to every other species on Earth. Global warming is melting the Arctic ice floes earlier , which means Polar bears cannot hunt for seals. This is forcing them to cover longer distances to hunt ; in the process they will either die , or come across humans. Similar struggles are happening in various other parts of the world ; in the Sunderbans , the Bengal tiger is in confrontation with humans who have encroached into its territory.
