Like everyone does not have in himself to be a good doctor and lawyer so is the case with managers.Not every one is interested in getting the best out of others ,some guys are better of being managed than managing ,and when such guys come to this field they find it tough and frustrating .

Management (MBA), programming, teaching courses r  job guarantors, that is why people do it. Except for those passing out from big B schools, no one is sure what they will do job wise.. A MBA degree is no guarantee that she/he will be a good manager, ur experience, employee, self motivation hv a big role to play. A MBA degree will accentuate those qualities if  u hv it in u.

Not all are born to be good managers.Some people have innate qualities which make them go much above other average managers and they succeed in various managerial assignments with much less effort.IN OTHER WORDS LIKE ALL OTHER FIELDS MANAGEMENT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.

i agree with shah.MBA does not symbolize good managers,it's just an certificate to get jobs. Probably i could say every MBA does not make managers.Every decision depends upon us only nothing with MBA or something else...

In our life every decision depends on us..So it is not that every manager we see is an MBA..But they are managers because they themselves are good as managers..

I agree to Priya, the MBA course today is structured in such a way that the people get placed, that does not symbolize that they are good managers. All MBA are not good managers.

If all are “Good Managers” who will there be, to be managed? And if by acquiring an MBA one becomes a good manager, there would be great Claimants for only the degree then.

Management is one of the largest and important part of everything whether business or life so it should be done with the person who are good at it. As there is saying "Leaders are born and not made", same is the case with a management personnel. Management capabilities must be there since childhood, which is polished after possesing management degree.

I am agreed with Mr. Duggal.

Can everyperson become best football player after getting training from best coach? No there must be some inborn qualities. Best coach can explore those quality to make him best.

In todays world 90% of students run after MBA course without knowing there inner capability & liking. This is making situation worse. Same case is with Engineering.

There is a study done long time back in Psychology by Millgram, about obedience. The gist of the experiment conducted in a laboratory is how people behave when their degrees of freedom is curtailed. The conclusion of the study reports that under severe curtailment people tend to be disobedient, reason being the subject need not like further pain to occur. Electric shock was used in this as pain inducer and questions were asked to the subject and when he failed to answer an electric shock was given, the intensity of which was increased from 15v to 450v. Most of them were disobedient around 215v. Those who were obedient even at high punishment levels of 450v were found to be though obedient were charecteristicaly deeply authritarian. I believe these sort of people who are obedient to authority but who are by nature deeply authoritarian fits the category of those who can be specialist managers. The study I think is called the Millgram studies. Though it is a controversial study, it is widely accepted.
