These are times of uncertainity. Startups are exposed to risks from economies of scale and high input costs. On the otherhand, established and listed firms are aware of the market and have quite a good operational leverages to counter imbalances and input costs. It is better to bet on something that you have information on rather than betting on something totally in darkness.

I totally  agree with Anita here. And now with sites like Grow VC India - wherein masses can be part of start-up investments (with the assurance that experts would be managing the investments) - I believe its now time that Indians come forward, participate and help to really fire the entrepreneurial drive in the country - lets all of us support the cause of start-ups and who knows - the next 'Google' could be Indian!

Market is the place to be, if one has a proper understanding of markets and where to invest and when to sell off, then this is the best place to make some quick buck, whereas startups its like a longterm investment, if it clicks fine enough if not then too much of money and time will be lost with it.

The performance of Market or Startups are dangerous to predict....but according to me Startups is the better option because after the thorough study of managment and the detailed study of prospectous of a startup can make investor less prone to losses thereafter.

i suggest to invest in startups because before investing in starups we should analise demand, market condition, scope, future and also ready to take risk means investing in the startups is the best for good return.

Actually, before deciding whether to invest in markets or start ups one should assess his own risk bearing capacity.

Investing in start up can yield higher returns while the possibility of losses is also the same. One should give more priority to the fundamentals when planning to invest in start ups.

I would recommend long term investments in start ups.

In my opinion startup is better investment than market. However, the decision is again depends on the volume of investment fund we have.

Start up gives one the opportunity to show one's skill and also have the pleasure of doing something by oneself.

Hi,

Though both stock market and startups involves risks, its the sense of achievement and creativity that stands apart for a startup.

Investing in the stock market is a pure return experience. But investing in startups gives a personal thrill of creating something new in addition to earning good returns. So I would prefer investing in startups.......
