Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), country's largest car maker, today said it will launch a new Van by the end of this fiscal, to replace Versa whose production has been stopped. They are hoping, to have one million units in production by the end of this financial year by utilising our full capacity.

What do you think. Is there a market for them?

I think a new Van, with better LPG or CNG would be a good idea. Since, we do not have good pick-up, courier or cargo vehicles for the Indian roads.

I think it should work well for the brand.

In my opinion it is a good decision to replace the old technology with the new ones. In market, there are thousands of competitors for Maruti Versa. To cope up with them, Maruti need to update its vehicle configuration time to time or else Maruti won't be able to sustain in the market. The new van must be having more advanced technology than Versa. I am sure it will not only give new heights of success to maruti but also will win the hearts of customers as well.

Still I believe Versa is good. I doubt the new van will have a market in this crowded clutter.
