Master technology first; be a manager later: Infy

Technology is something which helps us to work more efficiently, effectively and productively.It is something created and defined by human. Hence, as other human created crafts and trends its ever changing. The constant thing is human analytical ability, perception, strive for success and offcourse interpersonal skills.

If a person got all the mentioned points, technology is a matter of time to be grasped.

Hence, Manager needs to be superior in these areas and in decission making as well. He simply doesnot need anything else.

He is suppose to work thru person, hence a good overview is needed... but only in the form of black box.

Lastly, I want to mention, 'WE INDIANS MUST REJECT THE IDEA OF BEING TECHNICALLY[WHICH WAS NEEDED TO MAKE INDIA ONE OF THE BEST SERVICE INDUSTRY HUB] STRONG. ALL TECHNICALITIES ARE PROPITIATORY STUFFS AND MASTERING THESE WILL ONLY LET US TO FOLLOW THEM. WE BETTER CONCENTRATE INTO CORE LOGIC. IT IS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN CREATE SOME NEW THINGS....

No Arun, I don't think we should master technology first. It is enough if you have a fair idea about the technology, it is great to see IT is flooding with managers. At the present situation instead of knowing the technology in deep, we should know how to manage them smartly to survive in the industry. So it is always good to have more managers.
