Let us not paint everyone with the same brush. There are some channels that show one side of the story but there are others that show both the sides. Now, if you get what you want to see then you have had your share of the story, and if you dont get, then you blame the media. C'mon, instead of blaming the media why dont you become a CJ (Citizen Journalist) and expose the truth and help the media make a story that presents the reality.

Just do it and stop grousing!

Realy media can but then it wont be a business but social work.. I am not for or against media but really very few people are interested in serious news and then there are other pressures which force media..

Recently concluded marriage of kate n williams is an prime example of what media can do.they covered it like its d only marriage that has ever taken place on earth.each n every newspaper n tv channel was covering this ignoring many other important topics at that moment.media should understand their role n start performing it with more machurity.

I totally agree with Deepika, Media becomes a serious business nowadays which we can see through their way to show any news. Currently, Ghosts, Horoscopes and Psycho News are in the big trends on every Hindi News Channel which is noway in any sense good for public. Media people should think how it will effect our young generation mind. Look out some serious nonsense TV serials on MTV, V Channel, Bindass and Others. I strongly suggest having some serious rules and regulations for the media in India.

Actually the thing is they are competing not only the news channels but they also compete the entertainment channels like starplus, colors, sony, zeeTv etc so they need some masalas news so that people see them and I think there is nothing wrong in that. People have remote in their hands and they can switch to others.They have to show 24*7 non stop news.I think 1 and 2 hours shows come daily between 8 to 10 in which they show the whole important news of the day.

Media can give a drastic change to any matter even if the matter is not having any worth...they show in such a way that public get attracted by their news and like to see any matter....this is what called impressive way of advertisement i.e. people see what media want to show them.. e.g. even if some people don't believe in Horoscopes or ghosts but media show in such a way that some people cant stop them to see....
