Men V/S Women

Well said Mr.Aras, Performance is a crucial factor. And performance is measured by mileage not age and gender.

For entrepreneurs men have an edge over women, as wilderness is associated with men, which gives an inherent risk taking ability to start anything new. But to make the enterprise a success, it’s the organizational capacity and analytics which come into play and women have a better advantage on this role.

Examples of successful companies/Party, where women are the forefront managers:

Sonia Gandhi- Leader of Congress party, inspite of the turmoil holds the party nexus and works on.

The first women Sarpanch: Chhavi Rajawat.- Soda Village

Lalita D Gupte- Joint MD ICICI Bank Ravina Raj Kohli- Media personality, Ex-President Star Tv Group Priya Paul Chairman –APEEJAY Park Hotels Rajshree Pathy- Chairman, Sugar & chemical Ltd Sulajja Firodia Motwani- Joint MD, Kinetic Engineering

These are few names, where women have flared their attributes in different genres of industries, the list actually is quite a big one and I am tired of typing. Can chk out on any Business magazine for Indian women CEO’s.

As you can't choose he/she as better than other until & unless you know his/her business & way of doing that.

Men is final as they can adjust to any environment  and work under pressure.

The truth is the argument itself is not maintainable, the achievement and the knowledge would never differentiate sex, men are designed with some specific act so as women too.  they can never be compared or equal? women are leading in many fields than men and vise verse, the best cook, best dancer, best hairdresser, the best fashion designer and all the masters and teachers in many fields of fine arts which are domain of a "WOMEN" are lead by men and at the same time, no body is complete without a women!! let her be mother or lover, women are potential and caring in many many realm of life and faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar ahead of men!! diplomatically saying, both are two faces of a coin!! might be one is RAJA but the other one is surely RANI!!

IN this debate you can see how men and women both are liberal.How any one can say MEN VS WOMEN both have the same level of touch in life so.

Both men and women has the strategic experience ,but its depends up on the time it is delivered.

If entrepreneurship here means its application in business or money making and we go by statistics then certainly its men. But if it means the quality called entrepreneurship, then sometimes women give a better feel.

correct,this entire debate is meaningless,because we have taken birth as women and me in various capacity.so we are calling our self by names.either as women or men.

do you read mahabharata,bhisma refused to fight with certain person because he new that in previous birth the person was a lady.

i know my few of births i was a girl ,lady.women.i am a man today this entire debate is base less.when you know the truth behind evolution this debate becomes not a point to discuss.

As a human being i request everyone to please stop comparing man and woman. We people as a men/women are brought up in this universe by a man and a women together ,not just because he/she is stronger,sharper, better. , etc.

Its good to see indias top private bank ICICI being run by a lady as chairman today. Even the list contains people like Biocon chairman and recent appontment of HCL CEO . Also very good that key positions in government  such as president of india, speaker being chaired by women . Lets not forget one of the best prime minister India had, Indira gandhi.

It all started from those world wars where men were standing in those military and army groups dominating in majority compared to women. Though women also played major roles in army and military but still it was less in number. And from those days army to todays generation we find more number of man. This doesnt mean women cant do what men can. Women can be better enterpreneurs and the best also in todays and tomorrows world. People from olden centuries till today think that man means  going to office  working and bringing money to home, woman means after education she should get married and serve her husband and later take care of house and kids. This thinking still today exists among humans. Until this thinking changes women can better or equal or also the best but not interms of number of them. In cities like mumbai we see women round the clock working but where as in bihar its rare to see. Also its the society which has made women weaker sex sometimes. If women are not given chance to go out and work , see the buisness world by their parents , husbands , in laws also sometimes  ,then The word enterpreneur  slides towards men.

I request everyone not to degrade the opposite sex , also dont show any unwanted sympathy towards anyone and lets support both . Please do not compare them again in another debate anywhere and if that topic posted lets not participate . ALWAYS do Remember that RIGHT TO EQUALITY is one of our fundamental right and similar way lets raise the curtains in terms of enterpreneur.

This debate is useless, meaningless. Answer is always Men. Women is different creature created by God, that is more powerful than man in every aspect other then physical strength. If we talk about enterprising skills, a less %age of women have this. If some of them have these, just because of some mesculine gene or meme in them.

I agree that there are many successful male entrepreneurs out there but we cannot say that women can't be good entrepreneurs and to prove this i would like to give the example of CEO of PEPSI i.e. Indra Nooyi.She is successfully running the operations of PEPSI from past few years and she is an example for other want-to-be female entrepreneurs.

As usual, there are those who think on this question... then those who knee-jerk react to it (and miss both the point of the question and the opportunity for growth).

The question is basically asking a snapshot of right NOW, who is better suited.  Not what you feel guilty about.  Not what you want to see to push your agenda.

If you really want women to succeed then teach them logic, reason, and consistency and to have a stiff upper lip.  This is what I teach my wonderful daughter and I ensure she knows she can do whatever she desires... within reason.  Not everyone has the ability to be a great star athlete, but we can all learn, grow, and try our hardest to achieve our own personal best, utilizing every talent we have been blessed with.

Hate and vitreol will NOT help.

Now that said, I will say that I am ashamed at all these supposed entrepreneurs who didn't ask vital questions like:

 - what defines 'better'

 - what defines 'success'

 - what exactly are we talking about, what context? (after all, men and women have on AVERAGE different skillsets and talents and natural inclinations)

Taken in a POSITIVE light, we can ask the final question of, 'How can I encourage everyone to be their best?'  Doesn't that sound more hopeful and positive?

Please leave your agenda and your ego at the door... I am personally tired of being marginalized and forced to be everyone's personal psychology counselor.

One last thing... if you were hiring a consultant to run an area of your business would you pick the best person for the job or would you foolishly pick based on race and sex?  (Recent election anyone?)

distribution of wealth is a funny phrase to put after lambasting evil unpeaceful males.  If you force distribution of wealth that is violence.  Besides, logic, reason and consistency if applied look to history and history teaches us that the free market while not perfect is the best method of redistribution of wealth.

Mr.Sandeep i would say that we have seen many successful entrepreneurs who are males but we cannot undermine the power of women also. I firmly believe that women can do all the things that a man can do, so its no point in saying that only men can be successful entrepreneurs.

Definately the men. Men can adjust in all type of environment. Men can work very hard with comperision of women. Men don't required matenity leave and other leaves. If men can follow certain boundries he can be the best entrepreneur naturally.

ambani, tata, birla, gandhi, vijay mallya, mandela, all are i don't remember any female president to world's strongest country i.e america evil osama, prabhakaran, natwarlal, saddam were all men

the best cooks to the best doctors and to add the best warriors or the best politician all are men worldwide

and men are still the leaders in every function and and capacity. Men excel where ever they are focused, and have provided leadership, honor, faith and even fight to the death. The west was settled by men, the world was conquered by men. fact is fact .

On a manly note: men can make up their minds, walk into a store and buy 1 item, then walk out, and can endure life, love and faith and still everyday get up put on his pants and go forward into life.Most men go off to fight the wars, and never think twice about it. Men have given their lives in every aspect, just to provide safety for his family.

man is the foundation of mankind, hence the word - MANKIND . Even religion(s) says man first in most cultures.

Good thinking. Refreshing for a change! I appreciate your logic, though the entire debate is not very relevant. In my opinion, things like entrepreneur etc etc happen by accident. You keep listening to lot of stories about people succeeding - but after several attempts. So can we say, Failures make a good entrepreneurs?

Do you think Bill Gates would be successful if he starts all over again? No one knows. So if gender determines the enterepreneurship, this debate would have come up long long ago.

Its a combination of so many factors it is impossible to decide.

Ok Nitin I want to make a difference by supporting the men. Of course I do admire the courage and ability of women in entrepreneurship but I will still support that men make better entrepreneur s for the following reasons;

• Men had more business experience prior to opening the business and higher expectations.

• Men were more likely to own an employer firm.

• Men spent slightly more time on their new ventures than women.

• Male owners were more likely to start a business to make money, had higher expectations for their business, and did more research to identify business opportunities.

• Male entrepreneurs were more likely to found technologically intensive businesses, businesses that lose their competitive advantage more quickly, and businesses that have a less geographically localized customer base.

• Male owners spent more effort searching for business opportunities and this held up when other factors were controlled for.

In my opinion Men are the leaders in all fields. If we go through the stories of successful Leaders of men, they become the leaders even from remote circumstances. I am not against to the women. They are also good in entrepreneurs, but not much as men.

I feel men has more entrepreneurs,

as i'm seeing most of women give up when it comes to take a risk & risk based decison

also when it comes to convences the opp person they feel much more difficult, & they easily get convences. ( i'm talking from point of negotations skills)

It is not gender that determines who is best thats their capability. Men and women have equal capability and there are many proven case  studies of sucessful men, now women business leaders also started emerging. Of course women are good at multi taski.
