Well still early days for the product from the Microsoft stable Sumitra...true when looking at comparisons drawn between the Microsoft & Apple product the former has a definitive edge about it...anyways we are looking at a "MICROSOFT" product or a "BRAND" name for a start and nothing else.

WIndows Phone 7 has bettered iPhoneOS in certain features like CDMA support, support for physical keyboard and an office suite. But it is still early days to say whether it can beat iPhone's apps availability thru iTunes Store, fluidity and reliability of OS and tight integration of HW/SW as in iPhone.

I agree with Vasem, as Telecom or mobile is very competitive field all together, Its not about creating a buggy OS and bundle of application supportive to ur product only and earn money and keep launching new version after 5 months. so you keep earning money for new licences. Mobile co is too sophisticated and responsive and caring enough to hear customer voices, rather than forcing them to use thier own choices, Iphone launched it first so, they are leaders, rest are and will remain followers . When everyone might be busy in copying and making refined features, Iphone will be launching next generation product. so lets enjoy and see this cat and mouse game

I would not agree to it , one because Iphone is and was in different league and demographic segment also like apples other product macantosh (which has its own market), while windows never really made a universal appeal , it always had a specific target and offering of adoption like a orphan. windows was meant for business users initially while as iphone had a universal appeal with business users also adopting it, so beleive iphone has a place of its own, now that windows has reached to cover iphone features , steve will be already planning a launch of its next shaking invention to leave windows wondering

I believe android is and will always be the game changer :) From microsoft , iphone to Android , we have all fans here at toostep hahah Seriously , every day 60 million android devices are being shipped (quote :Eric Schmidt ) .Moreover , it isn't just a mobile phone OS i would call i the ultimate embedded OS , which can fit everywhere right from its promises to deliver youtube on your TV sets to browsing the recipes on kitchen sets ,even alerting the amount of milk packs in the refreigerator and placing orders online !! This is the vision of android , microsoft cannot even think about it or to be specific ,it can't leverage the tech behind all this .OPEN is the future and devices, people , markets etc.. need to adopt it sooner or later .THe ones that will ,will have an edge over others and till date Android has done that decently well . Just a quick point on the goodness and practical implementaiton OPEN by Google.People take pride in their iphones and somehow equate it all with Apple , just a thought we need to ponder over is that if Google had not created Google earth, maps (customized ) ,gmail ( custoi interface) google voice n voice enabled search etc ... will iphone would have had that mass appeal or to make it simple lets remove all the Google stuff from all iphones , and then observe , will people go for it ?. another point is that recently nokia has made its navigation software free. Didint this happen when Google took the GPS industry by storm by announcing its Navigation for free on android ,iphone and sybiam devices ? So is it the device or the cloud/ service / realtime-ness that we are connected to ? hence the future is the internet, its philosophy ,its devices, its networks , in all phases of our digital and non digital lives and no one undersands this better than Google.
