I believe many applications were designed compatible to WinXP. but if we stick to WinXP itself we cannot see BIG changes like IPv6.

As per the latest news .. . 400Days are remaining for migrating from IPv4 to IPv6 as there are really little number or Public IP Addresses remaining.

Hence, migrating to a new technology is really necessary to take advantage of latest innovatives that will come into picture.

No it should continue its support for Windows XP. Most of the people are comfortable with XP compared to vista, windows 7. And XP is the best operating than anything else, it is very easy to operate and remember and more user friendly. So let microsoft concentrate on other products also but should never drop XP.

WINDOWS 7 IS BEST FOR MNCs, IT IS SECURED SINCE IT HAS BIT LOCKER DRIVE ENCRYPTION OPTION, WE CAN SET PASSWORD TO HARD DRIVES.

BIT LOCKER DRIVE ENCRYPTION REQUIRES TPM (TRUSTED PLATFORM MODULE) BUILT IN CHIP MOTHERBOARD.

Do we really have a choice? We can have the installation CDs and all the patches till the support ends. And then? What happens if the OS crashes? All we can do is recover with the help of our recovery CD. We will not have security patches, anti-virus updates, new programs and features ...... Windows 7 is cheap right now. Upgrade now so that you dont have to pay a high cost later on.

Always Migration is not the good idea, but for Windows 7 it will be a good change and it has good features from XP in application as well as security wise, We should not forgot that only Microsoft is the only company who reaches every home in this world. We should migrate.

To be frank we can’t rely on windows 7 in future I mean on 2012 by that time Microsoft have chance to promote other well advanced versions which will be easy to access and easy to operate by everyone, in tech we can’t predict the growth and day to day changes and upgrades in tech, people will switch to user friendly and easy to access tech they can’t rely on traditional technology which is already considered as obsolete where they can’t get the fast output, so I don’t think Microsoft will not sustain the support of window xp in feature.

Instead of sticking to the old corrupted system which we call WinXP.. we shud migrate now as Win7 is much better than Vista and XP...

Ideally this is what Microsoft wants..! In case you are comfortable using ur system it's fine. But 3 yrs up the line, you will again have to look for a major change.. not only in OS but also in PC configuration..! So it's better to upgrade!

Cheers!

Yes, we should have to migrate to Windows 7 because If microsoft end its support with XP in 2012 then how can we get support any further changes or patches for further identified bugs and every company as per the company laws has right to end its support to any product after giving its time which is the minimum duration that every company has to provide support to its product and after that its all depends on the company policies whether they should continue their support to their product or not. So it should be better to avoid using anything that deprecated very soon or its better to change to another product which would be live longer than the current one and its better to adopt the newer one as soon as possible to unskilled the old habit and skilled ourselves as the newer one that gives us benefit as per the future perspective because if you have to change yourself as per the new technology and to be sound in that technology, you have to learn it and for learning you have to give some stuff to that technology and if you give that amount of duration in learning or adopting , you can save your future's precious time as well as you already prepare yourself as per the forthcoming requirements.

Hi.

When I was using Windows 98, I felt difficult to to Move to Windows XP. When I used XP for some period, I bought a new Laptop with built-in Windows Vista. Windows Vista & Windows 7 are the most comfortable & user friendly Operating Systems till date.

Microsoft is trying to upgrade the facilities being given to the users.

So we must also upgrade the knowledge & we also should be handy to the new Operating Systems.

I am sure that by 2012 it will develop a new Operating System.

We may get new things. The only version which combine the home and business is windows XP. The most important thing is it is the only user friendly OS which can be understand even by the first time user. By improving the technologies, microsoft complicates the understandability to operate the OS. Even though microsoft improves the technology, it has to support to windows xp to make the easy access to windows. Still Most of the people feels windows xp is better than other OS.

It becomes difficult to comment because i am not from I.T.sector,and this may be the common answer for those who are operating computer/net for their business routine work. But it is fact that mostly all are comfortable with window XP and do not want to change window because all are used to with this system.
