I understand your concern as a student.. But they are doing this and doing this since years so there has to be some reason.. If a person knows nothing about the field why will he get selected.. There are companies who hire non-it candidates on their performance in the interview.. It is simple in college you do not learn all the aspects of professional llife.. What happens is that when a non-IT candidate is trained he gets well with all the stuff which you have learned. Not just that but even IT-CS candidates need same amount of training.. In the end the company looks for larger intellectual pool and chooses the beast out of it..

Someone from a University is preferable then someone not studied any formal academical education. Why?

They learn how to research, to study themselves and the others do not.

What does that mean in practice? An academic learns C++ within two weeks, while the other is suffering for months, years even. They simply don't understand the principle of OOPS.

Taking on a CSE & IT trained person is as useless/useful as taking on persons not trained like that, because both of them have lack of knowledge, but graduates at least are able to understand faster the principles of development for example.

In Israel and the US for example, the employer asks "Do you know C#?". When the person confirms it, "You're hired". And what kind of education he or she has, doesn't matter.

I completely support Suchi Smita though I am a CS student.coz in most of the cases, the capability of a CS/IT student, to understand the development environment(apart from the logic sense)is far better, because it requires certain basic understanding of other things also, that IT/CS students study during 4 yrs of study..so if I take a time frame of 1yr,a IT/CS student creates more exposer or opportunity for him/her and from my little exp I can tell that no company wants to loose their good resource pool.So in my opinion I think they blv in the funda of "A Bird in the Hand is Better than Two in the Bush".

IT as a matter of fact is now a days becoming like application package that a technical oriented course. Therefore, person with the capability of learning IT skills will have the perk, which is not possible in other courses......... hence it is a drawback for IT and CSE students.

This is not fair with B.Tech - CSE & IT

students even science graduates and

B.tech (other than cse &IT) are poorly

capable of working with IT companies. Even it  counts zero (0)

to experience for candidates other than CSE &IT . "" What is

the reason behind this ? ""
