Mobile has already replaced lots of needs of Digicam, handycam and walkman in entertainment arena. Further by bringing large screen, video has already become comfortable to watch. Soon with launch of 3G by major operators, Mobile Tv will become reality and mobile will replace TV to a large extent. Successful experiments been done where users can watch live TV as well as programs on demand.

On Information side, e-mail and atachments reading as well as editing is already on. Now 2 brilliant develpments have already surfaced up 1) Interface devices to connect mobile with projector and to run presentation right from mobile 2) access critival business appliations from the mobile anywhere, anytime. This ends necessity of  PC / laptop for a traveling executive to a large extent. needless to add bluetooth keypad are also available for ease of usage.

Huge attraction among individual users has already building up for gaming, music, wallpapers, contests and other services thru IVR & SMS.

Mr. Vivek thanks for providing information which we did not knew and as for mobiles replacing home pcs or digicams then i definitely agree with you that mobiles will replace almost all the other things such as TV,walkmans etc.And as you said with the introduction of 3G service we will get all what we want from other devices in a single mobile phone so it will definitely make other things redundant.

At the recent international mobile exhibition, Sony has come up with a mobile with 12 megapixel camera, auto focus, xenon flash, face recognition and built in photo editor. Who needs a digicam with such a mobile. People can instantly click photos, edit and share. With memory cards continuously increasing their capacity, the day is not far when Home PCs and digi cams will be soon outdated. Devices have been developed that can produce a virtual keyboard on any surface. These can be fitted in new generation mobiles. Also, mobiles are increasingly used to store movies and films.

Yes I agree with Sheetal. I will like to add to her point that many students get degrees but they have no knowledge. In some cases people persue courses which do not have anything to do with their area of work. Its just for show-off.
