Move Apple ipad, Google tablet is on its way

If one company apart from Apple who can really revolutionize the tablet space is probably Google. The company waited patiently for the dust to begin settling on the whole iPad thing before kind of, sort of, throwing its hat in the ring. The Chromium Projects site which is affiliated with Google, but not officially part of it features a mockup of what a tablet running the Chrome OS might look like.

The first Chrome OS-based netbooks are expected to arrive from third-party hardware manufacturers toward the end of the year. If Apple seems some success with the iPad, we can undoubtedly expect to see something along these lines in the mix. So, what do you think people, can Google tablet really give fierce competition to Apple ipad? share your views on this

I think Google here really have a good product which will be entering the market in the end of the year. And the mockups in the video show a possible tablet device with an on-Screen keyboard and a touch interface. It also depicts an outstanding thing that the Apple iPad seems to lack - the ability to multi-task. This Google Chrome Tablet device will be able to launch multiple browsers at the same time and might also prove to be a fantastic e-book reader, with Google’s access to millions of books via its Google Books service surely has a great product in the coming, untill apple comes up with a good 2nd version of ipad, google will give a real good competition for Apple interms of tablet computers.

I was about to come up with this debate hahha , anyways , 

I firmly believe Google will give a big comeptition to Apple for their ipad. Apple hasn't done something really innovative in ipad ,its the same iphone os with apps commpatibility , same ipod things etc... most astonnishingly , they have missed the ability to multitask and a webcam !! this will prove fatal for apple because people no loner can be fooled with great UI's , you need to put in functionality as well .

Google on the hand has big ambitions , Chrome based OS running everywhere  Desktops , netbooks, laptops , and even Android mobile phones !! ( the work is under way ) .More over this is will set benchmarks for speed and when i say speed it isnt the web page loading speed but the end to end product performance right from boot up to doing anything on Chrome OS. Remember Google has some fantastic patents like Gmail video chat , imagine the video conferencing experience on a big screen !! , accelerometer data acquisition ,etc ....  which will certainly bring the 5th generation of computing more close to us .

The only catch is how Google creates the Apps centered around Chrome OS and utilizes the hardware features to its max in a browser based enviroment .Thank you so much for this debate sir :)

ipad is not at all a good product.a bulky book reader?this time apple may not repeat the success of iphone with this ipad.

People will go crazy over this new high tech computer. I am going to invest in this without no problems.

It will all depend on price, ease of use and hardware functionality which will certainly be important factors in who wins the tablet battle, the most important determinant of who comes out on top may be the variety and quality of applications available for the devices. In the end, it would be about who can provide the best apps where obviously apple has an upper hand. For me, the winner of the tablet wars will likely be the one that integrates multimedia and Web browsing the best. I hope apple does that :)
