Vodafone has made a tie up with Telugu director and producer, Teja. For his upcoming movies the casting will be done via mobile. Aspirants can register for the contest using their Andhra Pradesh Vodafone number. To diversify the options, candidates can register through voice, SMS or on a WAP page. Teja has hosted this talent hunt contest for the selection of those who would be casting in his upcoming films.

In my opinion, there will be many youngsters using this facility. This is an innovative idea to search talent via mobile. For Vodafone to have a tie up with a popular director Teja, will attract more users. There are many people among us who wants to act in movies. This is an easy way for them to try their luck.

I agree with Kavitha. This is definitely an innovative way, and the talented aspirants who did not have a clue as to how to get into the industry will have an opportunity. If Vodafone can advertise this in a big way, even talented rural folk will get the opportunity.

i don't think that this method of movie casting will be a success. There will be a little move in the beginning but wont keep the pace while moving forward.
