Mr Harisudan, u have made air survey but u have not mentioned the name whom u are targeting . It is not just dream ,it is true in practice and fix to ground gravity. Question of all flying is individuals job.Point is true If India and China has strong relations Asia is sound, peaceful and growing , And Us inclined for good relations to both nations it is big plus for entire globe. Honorable Obama visited India meetings with business man resulted in what increase in $ rate ,when Indians got permission in us from Y2K and improvement in relations , so such improvement with china could be possible. India Rupee is at par with other currencies is good .

I dont find anything wrong with it. He is making a statement as a chief minister of a state in India on a semi-official trip which is not sponsored by the govt. of india. So it has first of all no bearing on the foreign relations or policies of the country. And secondly we need people who can up the ante against pakistan in the international fora. We have been too dormant against pakistan in the international fora and ticking of pakistan and creating some suspicion in Chinas mind would prove productive for us. We actually need to fear pakistani incursion into our territory with the help of china rather than fear china itself. And even if it were to create an issue between the two countries at a later date, we can always deny it as it was not an official version but a private comment from a ruling politician whose party is not even at power in the centre. Keeping quiet in the name of spoiling our foreign relations or going against our foreign policies is only doing us more harm. Its time to prove dominant and show the world that we dont take things lying down.

No harm in calling spade a spade.Problem with India is that we our too timid... 1)We will not solve the Tamil and fishermen issue with Sri Lanka because we are scared that we might loose a friend. 2)We will not solve the North East and Bangladesh issue because Pakistan might get angry and will send more terrorist. 3)We will not solve the Kashmir issue because certain section of society may wage holy war. 4)We will not solve the border and Tibet issue with China they might attack us. 5)We will not address the Maoist issue with Nepal because they may get closer to Pakistan. 6)We will not start gas pipe line with Iran because America and Pakistan will get angry. 7)We will not get technology know how from Israel because certain section of society will get offended and will loose its vote bank. 8)We will not hang Kashab but will hang Jan Lokpal Bill...

Jayagopal, are you serious with your argument or is it a tongue-in-cheek statement. If you are serious, you are very raw to matters of state. Very immature statement. China is not going to fall into the trap of the Modi's words or Jayagopal's statement. You are living in a fool's paradise. Each country has specialist in foreign affairs, far more knowledgeable than any of us who analyses the shifts in world affairs way ahead of 25 years. Jaygopal, the answer lies in your posting. Modi is not by any count going to any place as a ambassador of the country. But as chief-minister, his statements can create a stir in the people of the two countries (not the intelligentsia, mind you). Mr. Modi must be careful when making statements affecting the foreign relations of the country. It is not in his domain as the chief minister. Not even all the central cabinet minister make statements as it can have severe ramifications. Just to cater to his vote-bank, he cannot put the nation's long term interest in danger. Imagine, Jayalalitha or Karunaniddhi making statements on Sri Lanka to the federal state of Sri-Lanka. Or Farooq Abdullah doing it in Jammu & Kashmir. Or the chief ministers of North-India making statements related to China. Even the central government in Delhi is to be blamed. it is continuously failing to assert itself. It should tell people like Modi to stick to their jobs. And for the kind information of this gentleman, the Pakisthan-China relationship is in their mutual interest, just as now India and the West are moving closer. India has more to fear from China than Pakisthan. But surely for people of Modi's ilk this is of great discomfiture, as it will reflect on his vote bank.
