Not at all possible, wat has he done to become a PM in the first place, spending nights at times in poor villagers house. And handling the congress youth wing. And first of all he is not even a minister and without any experience, how can one even consider him for the PM's job. That would be the most dumbest thing that the UPA government could come up with, and the new CM of Andhra pradesh should concentrate on his state and its Telangana problem than circulating such baseless comments..

All i would say is that "where there is a will, there is a way". He is young & always on the move. Personally I have seen him working early mornings. I get an impression that he understands what he is into. And I guess a person if understands completely what he or she is into, I think that should not be a problem. Also, we look upto him also coz he reflects a young India. It would also be good to see him working with other presidents of the countries, how he uses his clout to develop intergovernmental relations. I mean he sure fits in the role of a leader, not just coz he is a gandhian, but also as an individual. That's it.

yes of course. Why you all people are not accepting a man of good dignity raising his voices for the genuine causes. you are blaming and criticizing his actions as gimmicks. Can you name one youth leader or any other experienced leader of his caliber from any political party. You people know only to criticize but don't know to accept the fact.I am damn sure that he is the only choice for the bright future of India like his father. You see, they are from a family of reputation and his great grandfather was a wealthy man of Billgates caliber. so just think about these. You people( so called educated) must think about the genuineness in all these regards and try to accept the fact. It is sure that no one in Indian politics is an alternative to the charismatic Rahul. s.merlin SHS,

We cant say no. Its not in our hands. What you can do is, elect your M.P. These MPs elects their leader. Congress is projecting Rajiv Gandhi as their Prime Ministerial candidate. At the same time, opposition has no candidate to project as such. With the scintillating victory of Nitish Kumar on his home ground, NDA may favour  his candidature for the top post, since Gujarat CM Modi is not acceptable to all NDA components. NDA is looking for the leaders at the regional level, after Vajpayee. There is no other alternative candidate as seen from the present situation. Whether you accept or not, that is immaterial for the Congress, if it gets the magic figure and come into power, their natural choice is Rahul Gandhi for the top post.

The question is whether Andhra CM can be successful in fulfilling his mentor's last wish depends on the situations.  Can Congress repeat the feat in Andhra Pradesh, is a big question?  Andhra Pradesh is a disturbed state now after Telangana issue came into fore.

he should become a PM with his own effort, not because he is Mrs. Indira Gandhi's Grandson. ... Please India Today is More educated Than it was 20 years back. Few flight visits and Few Night Stays in Jungles do not make a PM. He has to show that he is a leader by Nature.

He should become a PM by first becoming a Leader not by Hierarchy. If unfortunately he become a PM then his fate will be like the heors fate  in one of the Telegu movies LEADER.

Yes Congress will project Rahulji to meet the disappointment of people in all fronts of governance. Congress always beleives in corporate like management. but it has earned lot of voters disatisfaction ( like customer's) moreover the planetary dice is fully loaded in favour of principle opposition in 2014 . Rahulji can enjoy position before 2014 and not after that.friends please note my point.

Rahul is a welcome sign but to see him as the prime minister for next election...... well remember the romance of the country with a young man in his forties in the mid-80s.

He lack experience to run the nation.Today he is in this position just because he's Rajiv Gandhi's son.. No thing else.He may be leader for youth Congress.. But not for all.. Take the instance of Bihar where he was the star campaigner.. What happened to Congress there..
