Not only does it have more shelf life, it serves as a referal for ages to come whereas channels dont serve the same purpose. Agreed that with news channels, news is instant but if you are not there or unable to record it, you would have probably missed it whereas a newspaper can be read at any time lesiurely. Lets put it this way - newspapers are for leisure reading and news channels are for instant information. Both are good and bad in their own rights.

In news papers we have option to read news as per our interest but in channel you can change channel or hear that news . News papers doesnot give only news but also some knowledge as compare to channels.

ALL the news is available somewhere in the newspaper. We can search, scan and locate what we want. This is not the case in e-news or TV news. Newspaper is therefore superior

I am supporting for news paper. Sorry to mention here that Sameer you are a active member of Toostep & posted good insight of your core areas. But that is not the case for other topics. For example : Your today's debate is already existing on Too step & posted by Ms.Disha Roy , 4 months before. So it should be avoided. Hope you will take this on positive note.& waiting for fresh ideas & debates.

Old habits die hard! News papers were the only mirror available in our days, before the emergence of Television! Our days began with a cup of coffee on one hand and the newspaper on the other! How can we disown Newpaper, which is the repository of so much of information you can, as a common man, secure them for posterity! News channels forces you to munch the same news again and again for 24 hours distracts your attention on other subjects!

(1) NEWS CHANNELS ARE ALWAYS BEST WHEN COMPARED TO NEWSPAPERS. WE CAN WATCH LATEST NEWS ON TELEVISION WITH LATEST UPDATES. FOR EXAMPLE:-IF THERE IS A TRAIN MISHAP YOU CAN WATCH THE NEWS LIVE ON TELEVISION WHEREAS NEWSPAPER REQUIRES NECESSARY REPORTS SO THAT A NEWS ITEM CAN BE PUBLISHED FOR THE NEXT DAY. SO THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEWS CHANNELS AND NEWSPAPERS.
(2) WHEN IT COMES TO PAPER CUTTING, I THINK A PAPER GENERALLY LASTS FOR 10 YEARS NOT MORE THAN THAT. TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM SIMPLY WE CAN WATCH NEWS ON COMPUTERS ALSO, JUST BY INSTALLING 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE WHICH IN TURN ALLOWS TO SAVE VIDEO FILES. LATER WE CAN BACKUP THE VIDEO FILES ONTO THE DVD WHICH LASTS FOR 1000 YEARS.
(3) I HAVEN'T FOUND YET ANY DELETE OPTION TO DELETE A DEBATE, BUT INSTEAD OF DELETING A DEBATE THERE IS AN EDIT OPTION WHICH HELPS TO EDIT THE TEXT, JUST PUT THE MOUSE POINTER ON THE MOREACTIONS>> OPTION YOU WILL FIND 2 OPTIONS (1) REPORT ABUSE AND (2) EDIT DEBATE.
REGARDS.

With latest record your program and see later DTH offers one can also store away them for a future refernce. TV and newspapers catch the news later than the internet so one should also consider internet for news.
