Sudeep said it right. Some news channels have political leanings. They are no more impartial. They are more concerned about their survival even at the cost of the society. I have posted a blog on the same subject during 2009 I believe. Those who are interested can visit in the following link. http://www.indyarocks.com/blogs/blog_visiterview_main.php?id=66269#blog66269. I dont find any difference in the national channels and the local channels. They are alike. Their ultimate aim is to grab the more eyeballs. Nothing more.

I somehat agree that most of the news channels show nothing but crap for extended periods of time. The quality of ndtv has fallen very badly. It's mostly becausr their premier jounalists like barkha dutt have become insincere. But I think times now is still good & has become the no 1 english news channel watch times now online on watchindia.tvhttp://www.watchindia.tv/landingpage/1008/specialHolidayPack_ft_box_ht.aspx

Most of the channels barring a very few have their own agenda and affilitiation so their news and subject are biased. We dont have freedom to stand against the third estate. it is really very pathetic

There are very few news on daily basis which we can see on any new channel with full evidences. And rest of the newses are based on "Imagination". The news channels imagine that "yu hoga to kya hoga" and they put that news on air with cream and butter, making it tasty. This is just not for TRP, today they have to prove them the best in industry 24 x 7 news. And they can do anything to prove. The latest media bill is not passed, as it was not accpeted by media. Bcz there were so many regulations on presentation and on air programmes. Ii is very good thing that few channels are fighting and awaking the peoples against terror. But in the same time and taking the benifit of this contest they are showing some newses which should not be shown before govt approval. There are few newses i have seen like the channel people were on LOC and they were taking the pictures of the Bunkers and arms position and presenting that on their channel. There are so many ways for terrorists and other countries to find out our arm forces positions but these channels are doing it like " plate mein cake saza kar dena"...After this 26/11 case, govt has passed some regulations to news channels but I didn't find that anyone of them is follwoing that. leaving few. One of the channel is 90% time is spending on this sort of newses and rest 10% on film stars and movie promotions. Why they cant focus on India's internal problems. If they want to highlight something so go and see there are so many other problems people are facing. And doing this shoul be their prority.

I agree that some of these shows should be censored. But you will be surprised how many people in the US believe in UFOs and aliens, black magic and witchcraft.

According to me yes, If you remember then you would be aware of one of the media channels where they made story about alien planning to attack on earth and getting things from our planet. I mean, what is wrong with these ppl? Have they lost it or what? Alien coming down to earth and taking cows from here. They are planning to attack on earth. Are they fond of cows’ milk? Are Indian cows are on target? These stupid punchlines and questions they use. Totally Rubbish! Do they even have any foundation of the story which they are showing? Do they have any proof of what they are showing to a billion people? Guys what's happening to the media....totally mediocre stuff what they are showing......

No i don't agree on this with sudeep here, It doesn't show nonsense news, but the fact that you have shared here is some local channels trying to create news of something or the other trying to gain viewership and increase their TRPs that's it, but top channels show news which are of content and not nonsense.
