As per the new guidelines, any MBBS doctor serving in rural area either on ad hoc or contractual basis for one year, would get 10 per cent marks in national entrance examination. Similarly, if he or she spends two years, he or she will get 20 per cent marks. For spending three years, 30 per cent marks would be allocated in the national entrance examination. What do you think people will this improve Rural healthcare in India? Do share your views

No, this grace marks idea is not really good one actually, and this idea of grace marks was an utter failure in Andhra pradesh in the early 80s.  Instead hike the salaries & provide reservations to the children of doctors in good convent schools in major cities. This will yield some positive results. Now a days health awareness is more important in India based on modern health science. Present health marketing are sailing the goods in the name of requirements of human body. The minimum qualification of allopathic doctors is MBBS degree. And at present there is shortage of allopathic doctors. It is essential to create a three system education in Allopathic medical science courses .i.e. certificate, diploma and degree to provide need based allopathic doctors to PHC and below level so that the MBBS doctors could give their services to the right patients.

Absolutely yes. The Govt. may take any initiative to render menimum Medical Health-care to the rural people. It is known fact that the doctors ( mostly from urban/metro affluent section ) are not willing to serve in a rural centre under this pretext or that. This "marks system" may help a lot.

One simple question : May not rural people get nominal health care ? Are they not citizens of India ?

First to think why govt is going to take such decision?because people after passing MBBS all wants to get setteled in renowned nurshing home, hospitals, nobody think of poor deprived people, nobody wants to go interior. In this situation,i agree with this decision of govt.Because with this step many poor's life could be saved.
