Now Microsoft is out with 'OUTLOOK Facebook' - Will facebook rule online business??

Microsoft is announcing today that it has integrated Facebook and Windows Live Messenger into Outlook, bringing the streams of millions of Facebook users into inboxes across the world.

Last year, Microsoft launched Outlook Social Connector, a plugin that syncs social networking feeds with your Outlook contacts, giving you immediate data on what they are doing and thinking. It started last year with LinkedIn integration, but soon the company announced MySpace and Facebook were coming.

So, is facebook the 'KING' of online business?

By this I guess so that one day facebook will the only medium by which other companies will be able to promote & expand their business. Facebook is becoming the apple of the eyes of users as well as for companies.

Thus if you consider the present situation facebook s the KING of online business.

I agree with Pratik to much extend. It's a strategic alliance to compete with other giants like Google, Adobe, etc.. And all are under one Internet Cloud where no one survives alone..!

if read it carefully it says that a user has to create a new account on facebook with the official id which can might help in building a relationship witj client and vice versa. and when u leave your previus compnay ur official id also gets changed. it has many draw backs .....it is like using 3 different phones for 3 different purposes and facing difficulty in managing them

Agreed Miss Inani that Outlook is integrated with facebook but that doesn't mean that it is the KING in online business. You see doing business online is just like making dead bomb live, you don't know when its going to blow. For surviving online companies need to take help from each other, that's part of the game.

Thus I see it as a strategic business deal for Microsoft & in no ways it will make facebook the King of online business. I'll say facebook is surviving for companies like Zynga & others.
