No energy source is perfect, but nuclear energy and wind energy comes close when it comes to cost savings. So out of the two which one you think is the best and why?

wind mills have only capital cost not any maintenance cost or running cost,,but in case of uranium plant it have very high cost of capital cost as well as it have high running cost and also complex thing to disposal of wastage Uranium,,,,,,so its better to chose wind power where there have the wind potential.

There is no example that wind mills r running efficiently. On the other hand

fly ash is also a very good construction material which saves the project cost. Production is also more compare to the other.

Nuclear is pretty clean. The benefit of nuclear is that one plant can provide a lot of power, and whenever it's needed, whereas windmills are dependent on the wind speed.

Of course Windmills are better option form environment perspective. May be we have invested lot of time and money in Nuclear technology...and still finding it tough to handle the nuclear waste. Looking at the future it makes sense to invest in greener and cleaner source of Power like Windmills.

It is quite rite to say that wind energy is both clean energy as well as most cost efficient, but looking at the great need of energy we have to include the nuclear power also in our energy portfolio substantially as it is having the best PLF (Plant load factor) and it is also very much profitable also in the long run. But yes, as we compare the economics of both energy then wind energy is always having the edge as the recurring cost is very minimal because of the non dependency on the raw material.

Wind power tech is really moving towards right direction, forward. The windmills each producing over 500kw are already being used world around. It's one of the cheapest source of energy available on earth. The windmills churn out energy through out the day, which makes it very reliable. Also unlike the nuclear power, besides high initial cost per unit there is no cost of the raw material of any kind. Also the maimtaince cost is very low.

With the requirement of costly uranium as fuel, running cost of the Nuclear plant is high, even with high initial cost. Also India has been strugling to ensure the uninterupted suply of this fuel & hence many of the plants were running below full capacity.

Though it is difficult understand the economics of the two power sources, the wind energy definitely wins hands down in long run. With govt. inputs, this ecofriendly energy source can go the distance & be most economical as well as clean source of energy for all.

Nuclear power's biggest problems are economic: it is simply no longer competitive with other, newer forms of power generation. wind power clearly has more pros, but we do still need some nuclear power to provide the base load. And for nuclear power you have to find a disposal method for the nuclear waste, you need qualified and experienced nuclear engineers to run the facility, and uranium is a non-renewable resource.
