As we all know, the IT industry here in India thrives on outsourcing from the west, mainly, USA. The plunge in economy in US has affected us in India in recent times - heavy lay-offs in IT industry, and some in auto industry as well.
Barack Obama with his policies will hurt the IT sector here in India, which was one of the major employment source for freshers from college. Denying H1B, and consequently work from USA will affect us all. How will lakhs of people make a shift, if at all they wish, to a smaller industry. This is a burden on the Indian government as well.

McCain would also make us happy by potentially growing the number of H1B Visas that the U.S. has to offer. In fact McCain has been a co-sponsor of supportive H1B legislation in the past and has voted to raise the cap on H1Bs multiple times....

I will support Mccain on this as I am sure that an Obama administration will foster home-grown innovation and they will ensure that they can retain and grow high-paying jobs in technology field rather than exporting those jobs to lower cost labor markets abroad & also he will find a way to make globalisation and trade work for American workers only...

Anuj & Bipin, I don't agree with you guys, in fact as already mentioned McCain win will result in a broad
continuation of Bush administration policies, including a possible
revival of the US-India nuclear deal in the event of a favorable
political alignment and atmosphere after the general elections. And also, US-India ties, at least from Washington's perspective, would
continue to be largely security driven, subject to conservative
impulses arising from fears of an extremist Islamist agenda to India's
west and an expanding Chinese influence everywhere....

Not only for outsourcing, a McCain presidency implies continuation of the Indo-US strategic
partnership and closer military ties with India. He could give India an
opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding Asian security and enter
the exclusive and politically powerful G-8 club....

India figures fairly high on McCain's list of priorities.the emerging Indo US geo strategic clinch is critical for India and hence McCain who has better and fairly supportive views for Outsourcing should be preferred by India inc

India should prefer Obama, because of his political vision evolved from him which is a
more composite upbringing. He was also among the earliest to oppose the war
on Iraq and has promised to bring the troops home. Instead, he has indicated
that the focus of his war on terror will be Pakistan which is inline with India....

Whoever becomes President of the United States in 2008 elections, he
will face many serious challenges. Some of those challenges will be far
more difficult due to the latest financial turmoil that U.S is
undergoing. I believe that Senator Barack Obama will likely do the best
job as president, as he seems to be honest and dynamic....
