Kapil sibal recently introduced a proposal to make one board across the nation. Our HRD Minister has introduced the idea of One Nation, One Education Board which will see students across the country studies same subjects and writes the same examination. What is your views on this One Nation, One Education Board Concept?

Are we ready for such a change? Please share your opinions...

The idea of One Nation, One Education Board seems intresting, but i personally don't think that we are ready for such a change. First of all the standard of education in different states needs to be taken into consideration as different standards of evaluation exist in each. First we need to standardise the higher education system in India.

Exactly. I agree with You. All the Indian Children irrespective of wheather they are in rural area or metro should have the same syallabus. We have to accept that metro childrens have very good exposure, whereas the village people don't. The growth (education) of children in metro & rural areas should be uniform.

Today, there is a need of creating a single education system for the whole country for erasing the differences in the educational boards. Not only that, when an employee working in some parts of the country gets transferred to the other, he faces a lot of problem in his children's education because of the changte in culture thus education board. Thus we strictly need a single educational system which can be applied everywhere. This process will also help us in minimising regionalism and increasing nationality (one country feeling) among children from their childhood.......

The concept of "State board" in India arose about a 100 years ago which has been deeply rooted in our nation's culture. It will be too early to stop that change and start a new since these state boards holds the culture of the state it belongs to and the people in general will never allow to compromise with their cultures since one board will mean mixing up of other cultures with their's which may make changes in the originality of theirs. Not only that we need to consider all the standards of education in different states and standards of evaluation existing in each along with standardising the higher education system in India.
