One should love his job in order to learn more and develop one's professional knowledge and skills.

Very correctly said, Renne. I support your views.

Your work done scales you as a good employee so it doesn't matter under which

company you are working.

Job satisfaction should be there, then other things come.

I actually wanted to be bit diplomatic here by arguing for both True & false.

Actually whether you love your job or your company depends on for whom you are working in a MNC or a company which has say staff of 100+ management will never know you love your job or the company until you are star at the company or at a very critical position because it does not affect them much.

If you are working for a company which has staff of 10-30 people mgmt would know it because it is comparatively small co so they have take the whole staff along with them to succeed.

I have always love my job & my company where ever I have worked I did not have any bad experience it was fun & today I have great relationship with my ex-boss.

100% true, if you love your work truly, your company will have to love you for sure or you will hardly care about that

Love your job and not company, being loyal to a certain extent is good, but if there is no scope of growth in that organization then there is no point in breaking your head over this, its time to go and do the same thing or learn even more in some other organization where your skills and talent gets more recognition, as organizations at times are just happy for what you are doing and recognition will not be there. So, love your job not company....it holds true any given day people....

We are professionals. Not mercenaries. But supporting this argument may make us look like a mercenary.

But the fact of the matter is, companies employ you as long as you serve their purpose. their need not mean the broad purpose of the company. it always means the narrow ends of the boss who is immeidately above you or a few steps above you.

Hence, in large organisations, the company is represented to you by your boss. Not the CEO or GM/ They are faceless mornons sitting in a corner room making speeches nobody wakes up to.

So what it is loving ur boss or nor right? no dont love him. there are others who do it. very ugly competition
