I support the traditional pen-paper format for CAT or any other competitive exam, because of various reasons. Firstly, let's consider the students, who, after many sleepless nights and "only study" weekends, come to the examination hall, and their computer breaks down in the middle of the paper......the authority says they can give a re-exam, but we can't deny the mental agony the candidate goes through in such a situation. This was just one example, but several problems have come up during CAT 2009, some said their internet connection was too slow, many candidate id-s were not registered properly.........On the other hand, the traditional pen-paper format is handy, student friendly, and less problematic. At lest there are no complaints of connection errors.

It's true, there are a lot of problems that one can face when giving an online test. It could be low internet speed wherein pages would take time to load or sometimes they might not load at all. The most scary thing that could happen to a test taker after putting in hours and hours into studying for a test is when his/her computer breaks down while in the middle of a test. All this causing a great deal of inconvenience and disappointment. For me it's pen and paper

Anytime Pen & paper is way better than online, sometimes net will be down or the server will be down, though it takes time to get the results out through pen and paper but one will get right results, online is a bit difficult entity, as still infrastructure interms of internet connection is not that great in India, So, its pen and paper for me.

I would like to slightly differ here, because in my opinion, it totally depends on the product. If the product needs to appeal to the housewives, or as you portray the bahu, beti, biwi, maa... then it should be marketed in such way so as to appeal this...
