Education in the virtual classrooms has been described as being “just as vivid, meaningful and dynamic as face-to-face interactions in a (physical) classroom – or even more so. The virtual classroom aims to give the student an experience equal to or better than the sort they would find in a traditional classroom, providing many advantages  to the student as well as the teacher (or instructor)

For students advantages could come in form of -access, time, 'nil' transportation cost, accessibility to students with physical disabilities or people wanting to upgrade their knowledge while still at work plus “everyone has an equal chance to be heard",  often people’s inhibitions are released in an environment where text is used instead of face-to-face communication, thus they are able to fully participate. Virtual classroom are “time and geographic independent" meaning that students can access the course material and activities in the virtual classroom at a time that is most convenient to them from anywhere in the world.  One can participate in a virtual classrooms from any computer that has the necessary software, hardware, Internet connection, and Internet browser requirements.

However there may be a few limitations to LVC (Live Virtual Classroom)  too- one of the chief problems with LVC is the lack of face-to-face interaction; considered one of the most important elements of a learning experience. The other disadvantage comes in the form of- the need for technological requirements to enable full participation in the virtual classroom-a high bandwidth, adequate computer memory  to access the Internet (& hence the virtual classroom) and download course material. The technological dependence of the virtual classroom can be a disadvantage if there is an Internet connection failure or a similar technological problem that prevents students to complete a task leading to  students missing out on the learning activity that was scheduled!

Yes, I for one surely feel that LVC is the next "big" thing to hit euducation.  I mean look at the Cisco Ads (especially the recent one- which shows a Child talking about attending a class in China and poof in a min is connected via LVC to the Classroom in China)...who could have imagined such a technological breaktrhrough to happen even a decade back..it all appeared like this Sci-Fi thing from StarTrek or the Twilight Zone...but technology has made it possible.  Some small gliches like the technological requirement and lack of face to face interation are just tiny 'speed-breakers' and will get sorted out once people gauge the immense power this new medium....not only in education, I'm sure in the not so distant future-no one need travel- This technology will be our very own Teleporter which will enable us to be at multiple places and handle multiple things without leaving the comforts of our homes or office! So kudos to this New Tech Wave....

Indeed online training is very good and practical but it cannot replace classroom teaching as the students can directly learn from professional teachers face to face which I think is much beneficial for them. Even more than learning online. Online practicals are just a supplement. But classroom teaching clears one's basics.
