Orkut comes with new features. Will this pull more people now ?

Orkut has come up with many new features like in facebook or Twitter. It has twitter’s status updates feature and so it has with the launch of the new orkut.

Some of its new features include :-

1)Superfast photo upload
2)No more waiting for a page to open
3)Video Chat

So, what do you think? Because of its new features, will people use Orkut more now?

I think It will be a success. With more number of features, Orkut has now become more interesting, eye catchy, fun and easy to work with. Users are showing positive response to the features. Thus I believe it will definitely attract more and more people now...

On an average, it has been seen that social networking sites like Facebook is becoming more like twitter to stop people from migrating to twitter and Orkut is becoming more like facebook to stop people from migrating to facebook. But as we have seen in the past social networking sites have a short life. Starting from friendster, Hi5, Myspace and now orkut all seem to be phasing out after a while. Revamps have been made but it seems users graduate to a new level with each social network and the features that were once sticky don’t remain sticky anymore. Given no cost of switching to a new network there is very little social networks can do to retain users besides for constantly innovating with new features that help users stick. Constant innovation isn’t easy.. Not even for Google!

It may only help a little to pull new members into orkut, but for sure, this will draw the attention of the existing users and would see an extended orkuting time.

Now a days all this things are common, one will come up with all new feature and then next day another 1 with more functions and features and it will continue like this .....No 1 will fix with particular one, and we too keep changeing according to our requirement and many of us created ID's in every site like facebook,orkut, hi5, yahoo msgr, gtalk, skype aand many more....this all are used accordingly.
