Of course Facebook whts the doubt ???? 

Orkut is far behind compared to facebook. Everything is there in facebook and more live than orkut. Orkut has only few applications and the way of interacting between friends is only through chat......

But in facebook there are many ways you can engage your friends.....

So Facebook is better !!!

Everyone has said about problems with Orkut. What about these problems with Facebook ? - 1)No bookmarks to add friends,No Hot lists,Crush List. 2)My account regularly gets suspended for 4 days from sending friend requests. U cannot send friend requests to people you don't know!!

For me ORKUT is better anyday.Its easily accessible and very much user friendly.It has all necessary means to communicate and its very easily accessible.Even a novis can browse through orkut without facing any difficulty.Its like NOKIA phone which might not be always good to look at but is user friendly compared to Sony Erricsson which has endless number of features but complecated to handle.

Saving Picture easily is privacy breach!

The main thing is Orkut is a Perfect Social Networking Site compared to FB.
FB just have integrated all the websites but the Messaging system in FB is not upto the mark.

Facebook and Orkut both falls under Social Networking but the architecture are completely different.

If compared to features, FB has much more entertaintment.
Compared to One Route Communication, like scrapping to a person is not discussed on the homepage.

Facebook is like a Forum while Orkut is like an Offline SMS facility.

Orkut & face book both have their own charms. Though facebook has lots of features, orkut is more famous for its simplicity & also the stats prove that indians prefer orkut more than the facebook & I being Google's Fan will opt for orkut :)

You cant say that orkut is better or facebook because trend changes and so as when orkut came into market it was so popular that each tom dic harry was using it then facebook came and i guess there are now more then 10 networking sites. Its my view

Orkut is the best one. Where we can find ours in related communities. While take the data for the for the baseline ORKUT has the maximum. My vote is for sis of gmail.

I think Orkut is better, but I know some would say facebook, but we all should not forget orkut was the first networking site which is very common and you can ask a kid also and his/her answer would be "yes, I know about Orkut, infact I have an account also". But friends facecook is not so popular in all areas.

Without a shadow of doubt Facebook is better than Orkut. this is evident from the number of users of these two social networking sites. Only to compete with Facebook now google has introduced an advanced version.

I support to facebook only...because i am using the facebook to update news about my fav hero vijay....and it is also used to share our likes with our friends.....in orkut this at all not possible..because there is no notification,share like those things...

Orkut has almost declined from being a social media website, and the introduction of Google Plus itself shows that orkut is not used by anyone these days. Otherwise Google would have upgraded orkut than introducing Google +. Even Google + is not a big success as of now. On the day or two of launch of the Beta version, we could witness millions of people signing up in Google plus, but only few are using it actively these days. Facebook has captured the social media networking world like anything. Orkut is only old story, TODAY belongs to Facebook exclusively.

Orkut some time back was on top with limited features, while Facebook comes up as evolved version of social networking site, where one can post own thoughts, share pics and videos and more importantly play games which brings in attention lot of users.

lets not compare O and F, it doesn't make any sense, Orkut is for network, its open, no games, no entertainment, its same old boring communication between friends and others like other most sites available. face book is something different, which builds a different relationship between two people. its full of games, entertainment, play your life.

In terms of usage, Orkut - about 100 million users, about 50% of which come from Brazil and another 20% from India approx.
Facebook - about 400 million users.

Both are social networking sites and it is difficult to compare them. However, facebook having more number of users is inferred to be currently popular as compared to orkut and this may change in the future depending on the innovations and improvements each site does to attract more members.....

Facebook ! thats what the buzz is all about these days. Orkut is losing market and the no. of hits on facebook has surpassed orkut and even google. No wonder Orkut had to bring in a new look and feel similar to facebook wall with chat apps features to survive the threat.
