people was seeing this from many times that other games are neglected in india then cricket. what is the reason that media as well as government and societies doesn't support other games. this time yonex sunrise grand prix open are going on in new delhi seri forte stadium but hardly media or any sports channel are giving live telecast or telecast of such a big event in india.this has been seen in many previous events such as when saina nehwal wins an international tournament past few days and after a few hours indian wins against pakistan in ipl then the victory of india against china is not telecast by any channel but they are in the discussion how indian wins against pakistan after many hours of winning. what is going on? you have hours of discussion how indian win in cricket but you have not a minute to tell that indian win against china in badminton. also in the past when kabbadi team wins international tournamet they have been seen to take a auto after victory to reach their home. are the other games are neglected in india and why?

Yes, totally agree with the fact that cricket has been given undue importance over other games. sad to see though we have a great talent pool that can be harnessed for other sports, due recognition should be given to other games of sport. the sports authority of india should play an active role to set up and encourage more younger generation to take interest in other sports. Partly to blame the media and sponsors who give credit only to cricket.
