Education systems is not 'sound', the classroom, linear instruction model is itself outdated. What is needed is flexible, open resources, scalable system

Yes I agree with Dipika Das & I would like to add most of Indian university and govt. schools are using past printed books and literature for teaching compare to foreign university and B-schools are providing up dated knowledge

Our education is providing theoretical knowledge and missing the practical side of the knowledge. Basing on the sound theoretical knowledge gained, interested people are working on it and getting the success. Because of lack of R & D in India, our technology is inferior to the technologies of the other world.

I am in Instrumentation & Maintenance field for the last 25 years maintaining Dual fuel Heavy Duty Gas Turbines for generation of Electricity. During the graduation years of my son (in Instrumentation Engineering)I noticed this fact while teaching him 'Automation & Control'. He prefered his age-old stereo type notes against what I wanted him to write? Forth generation technology such as 'advanced PLC CONTROL' is being used to replace many complex computers applied in 'Automation & Control Systems'.
