While the United States has stressed that any more 26/11 like attacks on India originating from Pakistani soil would test its patience, the Pakistan government has said that it can not guarantee repeat of the ghastly terror attacks which rocked India's financial capital.

Linking the terror attacks with the Kashmir issue, Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani told that the best way to prevent such ghastly terror acts is to de-link the peace process from action against extremists and as long as India held the peace process hostage to progress on terrorism, forward movement in normalisation of ties was unlikely.

What does this response of Pakistan show? Are they indirectly threatening India or they are helpless before terrorism?

This is a nice way by Pakistan to threaten India and trying to keep its image clean. 26/11 attack was done by Lashkar-e-Taeba and the whole world knows its base is in Pakistan. If Pakistan really wants to stop terrorism, it can very easily destroy Lashkar which it is not doing. Pakistan is the country which has empowered almost all the modern terrorist groups. Afsal himself is a Pakistani who was trained my officers of Pak Army and was constantly talking with them while they all were in the Hotel Taj. All these proove that Pakistan was behind this attack and by saying so Pakistan doesn't want to take responsibility of "not attacking" India again rather can again attack India and will not take the blame on itself.

You reap what you sow,,

Its the US & Pakistan which created & abetted these blood lords against Russia & now both are paying price.

We saw what happened in US, we are witnessing whats happening in Pakistan with passel of bombings/drone attacks/civil unrest & economy in doldrums.

If the civil govt there 'd have the power to curb them, they'd have. The nexus between ISI/army/Al Queda/Taliban what it seems to me, is working well & especially the US with its all military might, intelligence & money power looks helpless not only in Pakistan, but also in Afaganistan & Irag with whatever intentions they have in their minds.

And yes, Kashmir is the only card with Pakistani leaders to counter the untoward US & self military actions against own citizens.

Pakistan may pose helpless before the terrorist groups but that could also be a strategy to protect their own country as they know the strengths and weaknesses of each other but that doesn't decreases the threat to our nation from being targetted by terrorist groups.  India should focus on its own intelligence mechanism and defence groups, strengthen them and seek help from other countries like US and Israel for intelligence services.

The govt of Pakistan is simply putting forward facts. They are unable to stop determined elements from waging war against India. In the same way that the India govt cannot address internal security matters.

If we consider the geography of Pakistan, it is only the sind and Punjab regions that are represented in the govt, rest of the regions either don't believe they are a part of Pakistan or don't give a damn, in this scenario what else can we expect from the Pakistan govt.

Rather than looking at our neighbors acting good Samaritan we should look internally and figure out how could so many armed people using the most simplest of transportation get into India and rage such a havoc.

For quite some time now we have been blaming Pakistan, and it has denied it. I don't think the denying is going to change, keeping the citizens safe is the countries responsibility and not the neighbors.

From time in memory we have been told infiltration is cause by our neighbors, but what have we done to secure ourselves, it feels quite a let down to know that few people can walk into your financial capital, or even your countries capital, carry out outrageous attacks and all we do is look for answers and wonder why our neighbor is non co-operative. It's like not appointing/empowering our security guard, sleeping with our doors open and then blaming our neighbors for aiding robbery.

"mad dog bit hands that fed it"
pak supported terrorist initially as couldn't fight against india directly(lost war twice) and now dog has gone mad.. i feel pity for inocent people as terrorist are blowing up even mosques in pak.. then how can they be religious fighters as they claim????inocent people are killed..pak cant even plead for help or openly accept its mistake..on other hand india is holding peace flag.. doing "aman ki asha".. all those events for peace..clapping from one hand is not possible..even 3rd party like U.S.A cant help..

solution:live debate with 2 country leaders than closed door conference..experts panel with audience opinions...deadline and strict implementation

JAISI KARNI VESI BHARNI...INDIAN PROVERBS STILL TRUE IN PRESENT CONTEXT

They developed the weapon, now weapons are targeting to them.....Pakistan all the way did to make terrorist stronger...feeling that they are their army part...same time make themselves poor.

Truly helplessness...they are not capable to fight them.

Pakistan has done a big mistake by taking the side of USA which made him enemy of Taliban. Because of this, Taliban and its allies terrorist groups are now targeting Pakistan for revenge. From past few months, we are daily witnessing almost daily attacks on Pakistan by Taliban to which it is completely helpless to control. When Pakistan itself is not able to control attacks on itself, how can it stop attacks on India? I think this statement of Gilani shows the helplessness of Pakistan.
