China is selling Pakistan at least 36 advanced fighter jets in deal worth 1.4 billion dollars. Two squadrons of the China designed and built J-10 fighters planes are being acquired. The J-10 is a multi role fighter configured for air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. Its design is based on the cancelled Israeli Lavi lightweight fighter and that Israel provided the technology for the fighter's fly by wire controls. It is powered by a Russian engine.
Will this kind of fighter planes coming in the hands of Pakistan dangerous for India?
I think its not the Pakis's that we should be paying so much attention, rather its the China who is regularly intruding our borders, already has a vast stretch of our motherlands in its clutches, covertly supporting Pak, other neighboring countries & even perhaps naxals, claiming further lands like Arunanchal to be its territory, having much stronger economy & last but not the least, has wh1ole caboodle of armed forces & weapons (even uncle Sam is concerned) that we should forethought.
Pakistan getting 36 fighter jets from China is certainly not a threat for India. It is not a number game. What matters in defence is the stealth and technology.
Fighter Jets are all about speed, stealth, strike delivery capability, flying altitude, duration between refuelling and most importantly invisibility.
In these terms, we are far more superior than what Pakistan can even think of. We have enough technology to delivery a strike and return to base before even their radars can pick up some activity.
If you are looking at a war situation also, it would take a fortune for their army to march and reach Delhi, whereas, it might just take us few weeks to reach Islamabad.
No need to worry, as these are just in their kitty. A country borrowing from IMF to pay off debt to other countries is certainly not even going to think of an attack on India. All they can think is the guerrilla warefare. So all these things are for them to use on their own land to get rid of their own misadventures as they are presently doing.
These fighters are more than enough for pakis to defend there Air space..We should rather look to improve our capability in Airborne radars and Air defence capabilities... By

Yes it is definitely a matter of concern..Even a single rifle held by the enemy is dangerous, so having an advanced 4th generation fighter plane with israeli and chinese technology is a dangerous situation for India..Though they can never win a war against india, they can easily carry out short term effective strikes which will be again a possibility..Another point is that Pakistan have a very small airspace to defend..so they wont need a 100+ of these aircrafts to defend ther airspace..Even 30+ is more than enough to hold any strike waged against that country..So the only possible and realistic answer from India could be to invest in Electronic warfare and Airdefence technologies in which pakistan lags behind us by light years..Regards.
Yes, many Chinese products are the core technology from abroad. It dont means China can not produce in the future,I think it is a national and environmental reasons, but the talent is definitely yes.In fact, many foreign enterprises technicians are Chinese.
China's large population, how to solve the problem of food and clothing, how to solve the political problems, countries also need to spend a lot of effort
Many well-known brand products are processed in China, and China is only just earn some labor, China's product quality is not bad, the question is how much money you can pay?
china's increasing support to india's neighbouring country is definately a matter of concern .one should never underestimate china's warcrafts and strategies .srilankan success in their ltte demolition mission was to an larger extent was backed by china.moreover, one should not forget the previous encounter with chinese forces where india ended up losing a part of territory in northen region.moreover china is heavily investing in port projects in the coastlines of pakistan and srilanka which is definately not in subcontinental interest ..whatever their intentions may be it would not be favourable for india.everyone else talked about india's victorious streak in war but noone has mentioned the present crisis that indian airforce is facing (i.e,of shortfall of pilots and technological obselence) in turn defence expenditure is discouraged by some social figures.
never underestimate the competitors and we should be more careful when it is matter of War.
Overconfidence proves fatal. The sophisticated weapons matter a lot and we have come far off since the last battles. We have defeated them does not guarantee that it will be easy to do it again. We won the war no doubt but it was not easy. No matter Chinese products are known for their "quality" but they won't compromise with weapons.
At the end thats sure we are a mighty force to reckon with.
for me Yes! lets not forget chinese access to space, it defines technological advancement, lets not consider inferior toy technology to the war,,,, we must get on to this!
Yes it is alarming for us but hardly anything can be done other than 'CONDEMNING" it as usual by political leaders.India has a foreign policy which is adjusting till getting completely screwed up.We can't even use harsh words!!Also to be noted Pak is giving its soil & soldiers for USA's war on evil so it deserves to take a price for it.It won't commit that it will not use these jets against India ,if need arises.
It is an alarming situation for India. Pakistan never leaves any chance to attack India. Everytime it loses just because of backward ammunations. With this type of improved JETS designed by China, who is the master of hardwares, it surely will not leave this chance to attack India with these planes. Now, Its the high time for India to make something more stronger and also parallely make ammunations to deal with these kind of planes...
I go by the view point of Mr. Rijo Stephen. We need not worry at all. Our attention shall be not on acquiring more number of Jet fighters or some other War tool. We should focus on more of R & D and self reliance as far as defense is concerned. No nation can become powerful with acquired technology and weaponry, but with indigenous technology on all fronts. Look its nether the number game nor it is about being empowered with best of technology but its about how motivated u r and how best one uses its available resources situation is quite similar to that of sportsperson, its not how good u r on papers but how well one performs on a given day.
but recent remarks of Navy Chief is one thing that should make us worry about
We are not discussing China's ability, in this column. This is a security matter for India and India's freindly neighbourhood Pakistan. The World knows China's trade ability and its position so far in the economic chart. Also though it is a PRC (People's Republic) its main aim is to look into the materialistic side only for its gain.
Pakistan already has deadly F-16 for almost one year now! They already have nuclear weapons.
Did they attack? No, Yes I agree that they would continue with Guerrilla Warfare and big talks on the weapon they posses as thats the way they control their voters and probably they also feel great with that...
Pakistan has a bigger threat inside and they are fighting it out, the talibaans...
And so the real threat to India lies within India; terrorism (to be fought by everybody including Armed Forces) racism, regionalism, greed... (To be fought by each citizens of India including you & me)
Mr.Rizo on your note would like to share Pakistan’s India infatuation: the air attack by Pakistan in 1971 was famous by the name Operation Chengis Khan.
Pakistan started the air attack on India’s air base on 3rd Dec 1971 the first attack was successful:
The main intention of Pakistan was attain complete air supremacy in the east. Unfortunately, the religious religion failed and it was India once again who proved the air supremacy and repeatedly striked PAF western airfields and prevented it from providing support to the Pakistan Army ground troops.
"Its design is based on the cancelled Israeli Lavi lightweight fighter and that Israel provided the technology for the fighter's fly by wire controls" - Don't you think this is interesting in itself? If Israel cancelled this fighter, they must have found it is not any good... Also, as Mr. Ajay has commented earlier, pilots are important and not planes.
Its simply amazing...Chnia does not its own technology...assembled by different origin components like jet is powered by Russian engine..how old technology it is no body knows...Chinese material only known for 5 years service maximum...
Pakistan does not have talent to check its usability and reliability...due to corruption...pakistan will be a most reputed client for weapons for China..may be a good destination for dumping waste...
China is having 80% population of arms and weapons from European and US origin..rest 20% is being used for transportation...
Like chinese are using Nokia phones from Taiwan not from Shenghai....
Don't worry...in Chinese jets...MIG 27 power engine is going to be used which is recently obsoleted by India....
Nothing to be afraid of. In the whole world, USA has the most advanced ammunitions. It always has been giving them to Pakistan and Pakistan had been using them against India. Till date, they lost all the battles. Then what big deal is with these Jets? We'll see them this time also. Also, China's bad quality products are not also hidden from anybody. They are giving Jets to Pakistan means they must have seen some flaws in them. Thirdly, they are selling these Jets to Pakistan. Not giving soldiers. And we are aware of Pakistani soldiers and their mistakes. We'll face tough battle but dealing with Pakistanis is not a big deal...
We cannot say that media is favoring any party. BJP or congress media comes out with anything which is good or bad in both the parties. We start thinking too much and try to find clues which can make our perception stronger..
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday admitted to goofing up on its 'most wanted' list, that was to be handed over to Pakistan, and has now withdrawn the list from its website. How irresponsible is this?! If they can do this then...
