One of the main reasons to change a job itself is the salary package. Even if you are satisfied in your current job and then are offered a better job with a higher salary, wont you go for it ? Or to put it the other way if you were offered a job with lesser remuneration than the current drawn one but with more job satisfaction (which can be gauged only after working for a couple of months), would you still jump for it ? Nope. Job satisfaction may be important for youngsters starting out in their career but not for senior people. If your package is really good, then you will be forced to be satsfied with the job even if you dont like it. In reality - job satisfaction should be ideal but we are all living in a materialistic world and cant run away from our needs - which is more money !

This is not an easy question to answer. At One point we feel that a good package is must a must for a job. At another point we long for job satisfaction. It is rare to get a job in which an individual gets both "Good salary package and Job Satisfaction". I vote for Good salary package as I am in my initial stage of my career.

I think it depend on executive/employee what they are looking for. However i wolud like to give opinion that "Job Satisfaction". If you analyze in depth, ultimately employee go for job satisfaction. Employees leave their job due to salary, work culture, job profile, company support etc.Ultimately they are looking for satisfaction......

Yup, I do feel an MBA is essential for engineers. When we move up the ladder you need to manage people and get the work done. At one point of time you need a Masters degree and MBA is a good option for the same.
