Yes, you are right Mr. Prosenjit, Hopefully, soon other sectors like, manufacturing, exports, realty, etc. too will return to growth path, as the worst is over, as demonstrated by the recovery of IT, ITeS, etc.

This is good news no doubt, but i think this is limited mostly to the IT sector. The manufacturing sector, for example, is yet to recover from the recession. So is the export sector. However, pink-slipped employees being recalled to their parent organisations is definitely a welcome news, and hopefully this will continue till the end of this year.

Pink Slip is a non-indian term. At times of change, management has every right to re-organise. Chaps shown the door need not take too much to heart as there are other opportunities that are available. Sometimes as alex has suggested, the same companies call back the employee.

What about the pink slips in Non Govt. organisations.... where has the right of staffs gone!! Pink Slip is a western culture which we in India have adapted according to convenience... We have no pink slips in the NGO sector... However there are managements of NGO who could send away their staffs accordingly to their whims & fancy..... violating the right of human beings...
