Yes Mr. Rathin you are right. People are ignorant to this problem. They don't think that it is causing harm to them self. The best way to curb this problem is car pooling & where possible use public transport. The important thing is the awareness of the people about this problem and the desire to curb it.

Though I am on this side I am agrreing with you Rathinji.. bit with a slight difference.. I think it is not only cars but other transportation means are also contributing to pollution... This is not only in Delhi but in almost all the metros and other cities.. Not sure when we can see an infrastructure considering all these things...

Thanks Rathinji for an interesting debate after some time....

Yes, there is a lot of pollution still in Delhi.

They are cause by:

- centuries old trucks, lorries, buses which roam around freely without any fear of being challaned, EVER.

-TSRs, who conveniently run on diesel (NOT on CNG)

-four wheelers and 2 wheelers, who care too hoot to get their vehicles checked for pollution ( they are also not challaned)

-God Forsaken, three wheelers (commercial vehicles), who also conveniently run on diesel.

Till the time, the above are not removed/forfeited/grounded/siezed/controlled, the pollution level will keep on increasing.

I am fully agreed with mr. rathin. but what is the solution. i think govt. should do something by force, because people themselves do nothing. govt. can take some steps similar to converting all autos into CNG.

Why Delhi alone almost all cities in our country is poluted. The major contributor to this is automobiles and other man made factors It is high time to take action and encourage people to use alternate source to energy

I agree with Mr Sachin ,so far as awareness part is concerned  otherwise other suggestion fall on deaf ears.No body like to pool and commute. The show off is the main hurdle.

Thanks for the referral Mr Rathin

I agree with Mr Sachin, car pooling and use of more and public transport is one of the many solutions. Pooling can be ok, as people will be using mostly private vehicles and conditions are better. But when it comes out to busses or metros, Govt has to take steps. The running conditions of busses should be made better .

One of the major factor of polution in Delhi is Cars. All most all of them are airconditioned and it is poluting Delhi to a great extent but goes unnoticed. There are other poluters also but cars stands at the top.

I agree with Mr. Manoj.

Cars, surely, are the major factors for polluting.

Cars, the Industries in the Out Skirts of DELHI, Air Conditioners, etc are also some of the factors for Pollution.
