A lot of money came in.. a lot more than last year.. People have been saying that it is cricket and that is reason enough to make money in India..But no.. It is not the case this time IPL had badly failed to attract same number of spectators this time and so here we are.. Finally the companies have asked to reduce the ad rates for the next seasons to come.. IPL might have become th trend but the charm is fading already. Do you think this charm will copletely go down in few years??

As I said the charm is surely fading and people who were ready to splash money have warned already that they do not want to pay the same amount anymore.. This is all because the game is more about commercialization than anything.. The game spirit is lacking and that is the reason of the fading charm..

Many people failed to understand what IPL actually is. Further many people had now realised that it is nothing but the rich people are further growing rich in the name of cricket business. People even do'nt read or watch IPL news now a days.

There is saying in Sanskrit 'ATHI SARVATRA VARJA YETH', i.e., too much is nonsense. This is what happening with IPL now. People got more cricket. I think that could be one of the reasons.

This format of game will lose its sheen for various reasons. No viewer would like to watch their favourite player limping and struggling with wreathing pain on ground; International players leaving mid-way to play their own country's tournaments; controversy between celebrity owners and the players of great reputation; under-estimation of talents; tossing the players from one team to the other; and more importantly the tight schedule; News hours raising burning issues of national and international importance and other reality shows on various preferred channels.

the recent data says that IPL final most watched match of d tournamnet. With the rating of 5.8, IPl 4 final rated even higher than IPl 3.With a net reach of 19.12% it is a jump over the average net reach of 14%.With 30% market share in the final its a jump of 52% over the average market share of 19%.So if TRp is touching the clouds so high how can we say that IPl will lose its shine. We have regional supporter through out India when there icon players play the whole region stands up with that team, its a game cum religion in INDIA, Ya but cricket as a crossword BCCi must decides if nation comes first or IPL importance demands flexibility

I agree with the facts, but I am sure the IPL managing committee will come up with innovative ideas to keep its charm. Probably, reducing the number of matches and the structure will make it better. the Ticket rates and Ad rates should also come down, so that it will regain its charm.
