... mainly stressing upon few points...

Integrated approach:Given the fact that coal is a limited resource but availability & accessiblity of safer technology makes it main source of energy and will continue to be so. Quality of coal is now becoming the problem. Anyway, people are working on different reserve of coal. However, we should have the back up energy sources in large scale like solar, wind and so on that categorised under Renewable Energy Resources.

Conservation and arresting AT&D losses: Around 30% of AT&D losses in the country. So just imagine how much? If this is tapped and prevented, dependency on coal could be extended.

Efficient and Intelligent National Power Grid: Well-coordinated & integrated grid will automatically transmit the power using intelligent system. This will work on the online data analysis. So, shortage & underutilisation of power may be manipulated for optimum utilsation (in India where Coal-based energy share is about 70%).

Discriminatory use of energy: Why should we use for all purposes power-derived from coal? For heavy work definitely we can use this. For others we can use solar power like for street lighting, water heater, garden lighting; wind power for grinding and so on etc. Many such cases may be determinded and coal-power use could be limited without affecting the normal life.

purposely..Not mentioning the FISSION (Alternative sun energy source), Nuclear..

it will definitely be renewable energy because by keep on using the non renewable energy we will definitely be in a great trouble one day so usage of solar and wind energy must be encouraged

(1)Large scale solar power to be developed.Solar power  initial costs are high but gradually they are coming down and since fossil fuel prices are increasing theywill meet together around Rs 10 to 12 per unit. and then solar will come down and fossil will go higher.Fossil  fuels deplete but solar  source will not deplete.

(2)Biomass plants have to be developed on large scale by simultaneouly developing  large scale plantation like casuarina and juliaflora and not by just cutting existing trees and using rice husk as being done now.

(3)Wind energy costs also would come down on large scale wind power development which can give high volume business to equipment manufacturers, thereby reducing manufacturing costs.

shikha this is not so much good debate but an old 1 we all know that fossil fuel , LPG, and CNG are temporarily not permanent only ENERGY is permanent till our life exits if we want to run all electronic gadgets and even automobiles then i know that we don't even think for electricity or not even for petrol , diesel and other related thing IMP :- later on explain

Srinath good debate.....

India is facing an acute energy scarcity which is hampering its industrial growth and economic progress. Fossil fuel was one option but today India is running out of fossil fuel like coal which is getting reduced day by day. So that will not solve the problem, we need to look for some alternative like renewable energy.

Utilization of abundant the renewable energy resources, such as biomass energy, solar energy, wind energy and geothermal energy is the best way to tackle. Apart from augmenting the energy supply, renewable resources will help India in mitigating climate change.
