Google has come up with a new Gmail feature in beta that will target the unimportant mails. The feature called 'Priority Inbox' will sort incoming e-mail into three sections, "important and unread," "starred," and "everything else".

The new feature takes its cues from things like whom the users e-mail the most and what messages are open and replied to rather than being skipped over.

Do we need this feature, is it adding value????

Yes it is a good option, I used subscribe to lot of sites and daily I will be getting updated form them. So, the very important mails are sometimes missed out, this feature will help solve this problem. Thanks to google for understanding the users problem......

it is good feature added by gmail, it will save the time to identify the important mails, but some time you may get waste mail also in priority Inbox.

priority inbox s a gud feature that is to be provided by gmail because it helps us identify our mails according to our priorities. wen registered at job sites, we get many mails n this makes it difficult to identify our personal mails. thus wen the priority inbox option is provided it helps us distingush our personal mails form our professional mails thus makin it convenient to read the msgs and is also time saving....

indeed a good option of separating the more important mails from the others . It will reduce the time of sorting and reading out the preferred mails .

This is 21st century, time is more than anything that we have so we need more upgradation in technology, software enhancements, life styles and anything that consume much less time.If we priortize our needs like e-mails,messages catagory wise it will be great for us,but we have to be careful when we priortize our needs.

But Why it can only be Yes or No?

Will you accept if I say, Google is suggesting you to read a mail and discard ?

based on what ? Your Obvious history ? so you are being profiled ? so in the long run you can be used for advertisement ?

Now what do you feel about it ? I know it may be one of the most brilliant Idea, but Free is not free ... You are paying your history.

Yeah, definitely, something must be done with a daily mess of emails. Is it the best approach possible?  I'm still not certain about that.  But, no doubt, I'll try it.

Yep Priyanka is absolutely right. Of course im waiting for this prior mailing system in gmail. Since everyday we recieve tones of email we have to prioritize which mail is important   as same as of our daily work

i believe in opening inbox daily and taking actions and looking on to daily incoming mails. so sorting may not help me. i may miss some mails which i need to take action as sorting logic may not be accurate.

regds.

We dont need Google to prioritize our mails. Spam works very well. Every mail coming to our inbox should be an important one. I think so.

No, I don't think that priority inbox is needed. We have a feature such as spam for this.

No, We don't need it as if we don't like some mails then we mark them as spam and after that move to others. And by adding it we will started to ignoring mails. I don't think that is there anyone who does not having a little bit time for checking mails?
