Now a days It is becoming a night mare to watch  any private TV channel. When selected, 9 out of 10 times you will find prolonged ads., various channels own programs and captions one has to waste lot of time to find some useful and quality content or news.

Always DD is better but sometimes private channel like CNBC TV 18 but these days commercialization of channel made boredom

Once NDTV 24/7 was my favorite news channel.

Now, 90% of its show time is being channel's promotional

footages, and repeated advertisements I have switched over

to DD channels.

I did an experiment on a news channel by selecting it at every 10 minuits

intervals and noting down the program content for 10 seconds. 

The result shown that more than 75% of the time, it was ads or other

contents that was shown many times before.   

Moreover, how many times they repeat the same piece of news insertion

again and again? It it not bizare to watch such news shows?

It is necessary for the authorities to restrict the ads etc., 

limited to 50% of the show time. We have a reight to ask for this

 as the channel providers are charging us consdierable amount

for the sertvice.

Propaganda based news channels are really disturbing.

News channels should be mirror to the society...Not the other way round.

You are right Abraham, the private TV channels are becoming unbearable these days as they are full of ads disturbing after every 5 mnts and even the programmes coming are the same old "Saas Bahu" themed. At least DD has still got varieties...

Ads or no Ads DD1 serials and entertaiment programes are bad, pvt. channels r equally bad

as far as new TV is concerned,  watch Lok sabha TV, if u want no Ads, good discussions. after watching that channel, u wud want to  b'live that the world is still a sane place..

no i am not employed in LS TV, after watching all those pvt. news channels,behave like crusaders, LS TV seem pleasent change

With repeated Ads., gossips and meaningless bickerings covering over 90% of the channel time in most of the private channels, perhaps, Door Darshan is becoming more viewer friendly.
