Professional ethics is a pledge and a practice that any professional must be guided by in ALL endeavors including decision making.

It must not be confused as a PARAMETER..because it is a GIVEN

I would rather prefer making decision on grounds of professional ethics irrespective of their effects on Project Success Criteria / Constraints, becos on long run in a Competitive Business Environment, it is ETHICAL STANDARDS set by YOU which results in a PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS.

ETHICS is always Followed by SUCCESSES...!!!

I would like to defer on Mr.Nitin's views as decision making is always done considering project success criteria or constraints given at that moment. Consider a situation where client requires you to do a activity which is must required but may cost you out of the pocket. What will be your decision.
