In my opinion, current requirement must be meet, as we are in developing stage & for progress we need the power. For this wholly depending upon thermal sources may be more dangerous. So exploring the new lines for the requirement is necessary. Yes this development may bring some disturbances in eco system but we have to take the calculate risk. Now a days people so called netas doesn't showing interest in this area of development, even if they see some progress there health get deteriorated.
