Hyderabad based GMR GROUP whose business interests extend to airports , highways, power etc. has constructed a 135 bed hospital which will cater to the health needs of Rajam,  a small town, its nearby villages and also nearby Bhubaneshwar.

The centre, state, and corporate houses should join hands together to provide quality healthcare facilities to tha people

Finance minister of india has called upon the corporate houses to provide healthcare facilities for our people as a social responsibility. Inspite of good efforts by central and state governments ,there is a need for quality medicines for the rural and urban population.   Why not all the corporate houses come up to fulfill their CSR.                                                                                               So, it will be great if you can support me in this argument.                                                                                                                                          with regards                                                                                                                           Jayanta

HEALTH CARE IN GENERAL MEANS MUCH.SO IT IS BETTER TO SEGMENT THE TYPES OF CARE AND ALSO THE SOCIETY.IN FACT MODELS OF U.K. WHERE THERE IS SAID TO BE UNIVERSAL COVER OF HEALTH FOR ALL,AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO EMULATE IT IN OUR COUNTRY? BUT IF WE HAVE TO MAKE IT WORK BETTER WE HAVE TO JOIN HANDS AND TAKE HELP FROM EACH AND EVERY SOURCE.GOVERNMENT IS ALREADY IN HEALTH CARE. BUT WHAT ARE ITS ACHIEVEMENTS AND WHAT ARE THE FLAWS? SHOULD BE ANALYZED. FROM FINANCE TO HOW IT IS SPENT AND WHO ARE THE BENEFICIARIES?AFTER IDENTIFYING IT WHETHER THIS HAS TO BE CONTINUED AND IMPROVED,IF SO WHERE AND HOW TO INVOLVE PRIVATE PUBLIC PARTNERSHIP HAS TO BE STUDIED.SO AN OPEN MIND APPROACH FROM THOSE IN GOVERNANCE AND AN ACCOUNTABILITY MODEL WITH AUDIT FOR RESULTS MAY WORK.THE PROOF OF THE PUDDING IS IN THE EATING.

Yes. Corporates should stop political funding and start spending for public under Social Responsibility Scheme! Politicians, will then coolly divert the allocated funds for the purpose to foreign banks to be used as political funding at a later date.

What is the difference between political funding and CSR.  Their political funding was also social responsibility so that the corporates have the capacity to install the ministers of their liking to enjoy all the benefits the Government offers by changing the policies to their advantage, as and when required!
