Providing Slope of R.C.C Roof during casting is better than providing slope at the time of laying shuttering

Usually two methods are adopted to provide slope of R.C.C Roof . one is during the laying of shuttering. other is during casting. i have faced the fact that 50% engineer support the each side. it is the time to have a final result.

It is better to provide slope in suttering because it  will meet the purpose without additional thickness of slab which may cause to increase the dead load due to variation in thickness of slab.

i found providing slope during casting easier and very very much effective. if we compute the variable slab depths previously for providing the proper slope, providing slope becomes easy on the spot due to the proper supervision of engineer-in-charge. maintaining different height of shuttering is completely Dependant on the perfection of the laborers. i found several times they mess it

Slope in shuttering is an economical way, beside it is lighter because of non varying thickness.

It is better to give slope in shuttering to avoid variation in depth of slab. Also camber can be given in shuttering to increase the  Load carrying capacity of the slab.

I agree with Mr KK Jain's statement, that providing slope in shuttering is better, because for large spans where the difference in levels is more, the dead weight will increase and also the economy will disturb.
