chalta hai approach is not a national or universal concept ,it is a personal concept and attitude of a particular person towards a situation.if quality is not our moto then why so many INDIAN companies are going for ISO certification ,also AGMARK and FPO certification is of no use ,in many areas specially i will mention the IT sector where we are ahead of many advanced nations , IF QUALITY IS NOT OUR CONCERN THEN WHY SO MANY PEOPLE ARE CHOOSING FUEL EFFICIENT AUTOMOBILS,now a days so many multiantional companies are selling their premium products in our country,
there is a drawback in our policy formulation and focus of govt in encouraging competition , till ninties before the new economic policy of 1991, govt policy was to protect the Indian industry from international competition by restricting the entry of big companies in our country, Indian companies were forced to sell their products in the domestic market to fulfil the needs of our economy this led to the growth of low grade products, Indian companies were not allowed to export their products this act of govt curbed their international competitive exposure . thanks to new economic policy we slowly but surely moved towards a new and competitive world- in this way we said good bye to ambassador and fiat
