In order for a business to grow in times where crisis occur, its vital to look for a more feasible and promising medium of promoting and making it known. If they cannot find you, go and look for them, this is the optimistic approach of business owners and operators. You need to look for possible clients and develop marketing strategies that will strengthen your approach to your customer.

And the fact that more and more people are tapping all alternatives just to be able to save more money. Today, innovations in doing business seem to be the very best solution benefit not only the retail store but its patrons as well.

Can Mobile Retail Stores, be a solution to counter the effects of the economic slump.

Retail stores on wheels? Will it be succesful?

I feel it will work because as it is people are having very less time to go to a shop and do the purchasing. If they will get get it at their doorstep nothing can be better than that. It has been successful in certain foreign countries then why not in INDIA..??

i dont think it may work.this may only work where the shopping conveniences are far off and at the same time the pricing strategy and merchandise variety is focussed onto.as for me, the kirana stores compliment

to the mobile retail stores as they are better positioned in terms of customer relationship & other ingredients of retailing.

I also agree for the above  statement,Actually the Consumers they wanted purchase their products from one place it's should be in reliable and permanent  place, even for any discrepancy they have to change their product ,if wheels business always give a cheaper image to the product, if it is propaganda vehicle  specially promotional event for a especial event launching the product to the market is alright, other than, this wont success and some practical handling problems in operation is concerned.this will be success in long distance retail outlets located areas.

In mumbai Apna Bazaar tried this on wheels approach but it was too soon! I think it was more than a decade ago! And Apna Bazaar was a good multi channel retail store in Mumbai. Unfortunately they arent doing well at all! Sad. What is a success story today is like a nightmare for an early starter.

Anyway, on wheels concept will need to be placed in a market which is virgin to ideas! Because of the basic UNIQUENESS of the concept in the virgin territory, it just might work wonders! I am talking B&C towns! That is where these concepts should be tried and tested!

But in the A towns its the other way round; we use wheels (read: our cars) to go to the stores! So this concept will ruin the entire gamut of going out with the family kinda thing for a person! So safely we can say that it will work in virgin territories and not in developed towns!
