Well, I would definitely would if given a chance ;) ... I think they do have quite a handful of clients , and they still, I believe, are the official IT provider for the FIFA World Cup in SA.

Question .. why job hunters, specially the freshers may not join Mahindra Satyam, if selected ? Yes, they should join. As usual, 'job-hoppers' might flee the company as and when found warranted. A relevant topic here ... for the "scam" in Satyam, who were the biggest loosers ? .. .. Ans. : The (stock) Investors as it happens in every case. They lost their fortune as they were / are the owners. The staff and employees, during the period of crisis, might have, in some cases joined some other farms .. and even now they may come back. Nothing to be wooried for .... now business as usual ..!! Only exception : the-then share holders are lamenting.

It is not wise to think the organisation is not good because of few top level people who did wrong. There are many people who is looking for a opportunity. i hope Satyam will have good growth after Mahendra owned it.

I agree with you Gargi... for an employee money and work is the prime concern. Employee would never deny the offer from Mahindra Satyam or for that matter any other company. We should praise Satyam HR team during the hard time of financial instability HR team was able to retain their staff. Employees joining Satyam would also look at that during hard time Satyam management did not fire any of their valued staff.

Yes why not. It is not the employees who are to be blamed for the misdeeds of their directors. Plus if they are hiring 4000 employees, there definitely must exist a market for it. No one would like to hire just for the heck of it. I see no harm in Satyam returning to its old glory under the guidance of Tech Mahinrdra

Satyam has been a very good company. Just because the owner was involved in some irregularities, the brand value will not be damaged. More over after the acquisition by Mahindra, it has become stronger. I think all job seekers particularly youn people will be willing to join to get good exposure.

I agree with Abhijith, the employees where treated in good manner and they did not have any issue with the company. Satyam as a company still has its name. So I don't think employees will hesitate to join. :)

What SATYAM had done is a past for now,i think. So effect of that mishap could not bring any conflict on an employee. So far our salary & projects are concerned i think SATYAM is all over that now. Even SATYAM is working with Mahindra there should not be any problem regarding projects which is the backbone of a company. So i think there should not be any hesitation for joining SATYAM-MAHINDRA now a days.

Satyam was never a bad company to be in for the employees. The top management's actions barely affected those who remained with the company except for the shortage of cash in the company. Some people were fired but so were they in many other companies. Now, the people who remained with the company are enjoying good bonuses and a good salary. It might have been a rough ride but it sure was profitable in the long run. I would have no qualms about joining the company now.

Employees look for their career growth and also money. So if Satyam can provide this,i think there will not be many who says "NO".I think there was a internal grip even in tougher times. So i think it can come across this.

Jayesh, I respect your view. But the fround was done by few top people of company and still by the time company has made itself more stable by its way of operational operations. Today people from MNCs are joing back Satyam. I never heard that Satyam company closed or rejected or didn't go for any project due to internal issue ? Some of the customers has opted to work with different vendors. Satyam has delivered all the assigned projects and tasks even during those tough days. So the internal strength of company is still very strong and now with the Mahindra Satyam, it has grown further and keep the pace of growth with each passing day.

Satyam as a company and brand was always great and with Mahindra Satyam, it is growing further most. The people of Satyma make the company survive and come out of the problem in just few weeks. The image of company was tarnished by few top people and employees over took those issues with dedicated work, professionlism, determination to survice and strength. Some tough decisions were taken which was need to hours to save the whole company. With stable company MSat, more customers are coming back, economy is growing and so the Satyam company. It is welcoming back all the old people and giving space to new ones as well. Poeple are taking it as very positive sign. More and more people will join the company in coming days to make it one of top most company of India and world.

What happened at Satyam was the fault of a few top people and a governance structure that failed. Now that it is under a more reliable leadership and management, why should there be anything negative about joining it? I say that it is a positive thing that Satyam is now in a position to hire people.

For any thing in the world has both good and bad times its a cyclic process. people neither be happy for good things happened nor they'll keep thinking about the bad thing happend in d past and lose the opportunity,If they lose its heights of stupidity!! According 2 me people joining Sathyam now doesn't mean that they never had opportunities else where, its only people want 2 experience the change in Sathyam and only challenging people go 4 sathyam. its the attitude matters here, FAILURE IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY!!!! Mahendra Sathyam again grows.

Mahindra Satyam still legally remains "Satyam Computer Services Limited”, so the key issues at hand will be the liability in terms of the Class Action Suits and the Settlement of UPAID. Though Mahindra Satyam has recently negotiated the UPAID dispute for 70 million (as the news papers say), proper execution in terms of payment and a settlement agreement is the key. It is strange that the company has put thousands of its employees on VPP (virtual pool) and is hiring fresh instead of reinstating these techies!!! The company still would require to assess the deals on the table vis a vi the ratio of it employees on bench and VPP. Too early to comment if more VPP(payment of basic salary only from the CTC) would happen!! Professionals do seek for monetary gain, but stability at work increases work performance and diligence. I feel it is too early to say that the company has been revamped entirely!! The yet awaited reinstatement of its accounts, analysis of its profit margins is another parameter of concern. Delivery teams may be delivering projects but at what profit percentage!! the assessment still needs to be disclosed to the stake holders!! Yes!! The brand name of Mahindra has worked a lot, but it’s still miles to go!! With the job market opening up, Mahindra Satyam would be a later choice unless the role is a Key Front ending remunerative one!! A key Role ahead for risk takers both in business ad well as support functions!!
